I found your ad in the New Yorker, with the stick-on tattoos of a Yellowtail dragon. Intrigued, I picked up a bottle of Shiraz on the way home from work. The spicy aroma complemented the rich fruity flavor. My wife commented that it was the first Shiraz which she really could enjoy.
One glass lead to another, and then another. Soon, the whole bottle was gone and we decided to apply the tattoos. In a more sober moment, we may have placed them in some place boring, but after a bottle of Yellow Tail, the only appropriate location was on our tails. I took digital pictures but my wife has forbid sharing her private parts with the world.
This, of course, led to the second half of a truly enjoyable evening.
I thank you for a choice memory and you have a new fan.
I love (LOVE) most Australian Shiraz. I was initially disappointed to hear that you enjoyed Yellowtail, but upon introspection I now recall that it was the Little Penguin that I disliked very much, way too sweet. Like a strong version of Arbor Mist. I’m always confusing wines marketed by adorable animals.
I’ll agree that I enjoyed Yellowtail, although certainly not the best I’ve ever had.
No Chris, despite the fond memories this thread brings you cannot go out and buy a bottle of red at ten in the morning.
PS: You have my email, so you can always just email the pics… right?! Maybe?!
