It was sung by several voices in harmony, and the chorus is:
I looooooove you…Farewell…Now and forever!
(Last two notes somewhat higher than the rest)
One of the verses has a line ending with “sorrow and pain.”
When I search on “now and forever,” “I love you,” and “sorrow and pain,” I get the song “Woman” by Ozzy Osbourne.
Woman, by John Lennon. It’s not “farewell”, it’s “well, well”.
