And finally...the freakin' snow comes!!!

I use to think that the only good thing about living in Alberta, Canada was that we would have snow on christmas day…all pretty and white, the way you see christmas in the story books and fairytales! And for many years of my now almost middle aged life, it was just that way! A beautiful WHITE christmas! Well…Not this year! See…I could handle living somewhere warm through the winter season like California (which is where i’ll be moving in 2003)…atleast with no expectations of having a white christmas, things would atleast be GREEN! Not here…nope…not only is it NOT white…its BROWN! Not nice enough to keep things looking green and alive, cold enough to kill everything off, but not quite cold enough to make things white!!!

So now, christmas has come and gone, dec. 28th, and laudy frinckin da…it snows!!!

Next year I am spending Christmas on a Beach where it is nice and HOT! Things can be green and look life like…that would make me very happy!!!

Thanks for listening to me complain…i feel better now! :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow yeah I read the title of the thread and glanced out the window (just woke up) and realized… hey it DID snow here!

And it’s still snowing… WOOOH-FRICKIN-HOOO!! I hope it snows all day, all night and then some.

Hmm, I was really enjoying the brown Christmas (since we had to drive halfway to Hell and back both days). I don’t mind winter much, but I can live quite happily without snow.

It’s better than the icy rain we were having a few weeks ago at least. I’m enjoying just sitting inside at my warm computer and watching the snow fall. I don’t have to go anywhere today

24 hrs later…and STILL snowing!!!

“Snow?” she asked, quizzically, “SNOW?” She glanced out the front window, then breathed a deep sogh a relief. The cacti and trees were still green and nary a hint of the white stuff. “I think I’ll walk the dog… it’s nippy outside, so I’d best wear my flannel shirt.”

(I live through 6 months of 95+ degree heat JUST for moments like these. But my very best to those of you who choose to put up with the snow monster.)
