First snow of the season!
Does happy dance
Yer in Calgary and you just had your first snow?
Egads, we had our first snow in Colorado Springs (and other parts of Colorado) in the beginning of September. What a wuss.
But I must admit that tomorrow, here in my city, it’s 'sposed to be 76ºF so it will be a nice “Indian Summer” day.
Oh and we had some snow night before last too.
If anyone cares to keep the snow, they can have it. I am not ready for snow, not one bit. I am not ready for cold, not one bit.
So if anyone wants to take the snow of Colorado Springs shoulders for a winter and leave us with 66º F temps till spring I am all for it.
techchick88, I’ll trade you. I don’t mind cold and/or snow, it’s humid heat that gets me. I am a native Kansan, and have never been able tp deal with high temps.
goes green with envy
wow, snoooooowwwwwwww… i haven’t seen snow in YEARS! it’s too damn HOT and WET in taiwan for snow… waaaahhhhh!
snrk snrk sniffle sniffle
wanders away dejectedly
It probably won’t snow here till January, if then. We haven’t had a white Christmas in twelve years.
I want snow!
For as long as I can remember it has snowed every year on my birthday. December 12th.
You guys may say duh you live in Iowa, and December and snow go hand in hand but that is not always the case around here.
Hey, that snow stayed on the ground too!!!
SNOWBALL FIGHT!!!
[sub]throws snowball at techchick68 [/sub]SMACK!!
Make fun of MY snow will you?
UGH!
It is your snow and you’re welcome to keep it. Give me sunny, hot, beach weather any day of the week.
Grumble, grumble, grumble…hate snow, hate the cold, … grumble, grumble, grumble…
This is irritating.
Northern Minnesota has had snow for a while. I want it here in the Twin Cities. I want my snow, damnit. The only reason I LIVE in this godforsaken state is the snow.
(Well, not the only reason. But I really do like these winters…)
And so it begins…
God, I hate snow. I hate the cold. Anything below 70 degrees and I’m freezing.
Hopefully snow will hold off here for a long time. I really hope it’s not a rough winter. Yeah, I know Maryland winters can’t be considered rough compared to other places, but it still sucks.
Sheri
With you there. Great Ghu, it went down to 48* last night (that’s 8* celsius for non-US dopers). Had to fire up the furnace and get out the Big Sweater.
I love Florida
I live in the Twin Cities. I’ve been here my whole life. I can honestly say that I have never, ever wanted it to snow. Not as a kid, even. I hate snow. Hate it. Nasty, cold stuff. Makes it hard to drive. Have to shovel it. The streets shrink. Slip and bust your ass. It makes your socks wet. It gets down your neck. It sucks.
I live in this beautiful state despite the snow.
You are so lucky. I wish it would snow here. It hasn’t snowed here since I was seven and even then in was only half an inch. That is the only thing about living in my part of California. It Doesn’t snow. Do you think you could send some of that snow this way?
We’ve got it coming down now, too. I don’t think it will stay, though. Some damned mountain resort, eh? Snow used to be the livelihood around here, skiing and whatnot.
I am jealous. Snow kicks ass–one of the things I like about Michigan, even though the recent winters have been a bit disapointing.
Snow…cold, wet miserable white stuff. Followed by freezing winds, good greif…keep the stuff! I don’t want it, I hate snow and I dislike cold intensly!
You may remember me from such posts as: “ask the Alaskan guy”. Well in S.E. AK ,at least here, it’ll probably snow in December.even then it probably wont stick. if it does stick, not for long… this is raincountry.
Bah! I went home to VT over Columbus day weekend and woke to snow. No big deal. Actually, I’ve kind of missed getting snow as early as I used to, being away at school and all.
Greetings from lovely Tucson, Arizona, where the daily high temp is just now dipping into the 80s. Our forecast for the next month or so is 80 degree weather, followed by a month of 70 degree weather, and maybe a month of upper sixty degree weather, and then it’ll be spring!
And if I want to go play in snow, Mount Lemmon is a half an hour away.
Why everybody on earth doesn’t live here, I’ll never know.
as a kid, i trick-or-treated damn near every year in the snow. i only live about 40 miles from my childhood home, but it is in the middle of a desert drylake and it doesn’t snow too much. this spring was a freak: in late april, it dumped about 4 inchs in 4 hours! (gone the next day! my whole chunk of land was deep mud! had to let it dry for 3 days till i could move on of the trucks!)
i love snow! i love skiing!
