And it's 1, 2, 3, What are we celebrating FairyChatMom's birthday for?

Happy birthday!

Robin

Don’t ask me, I don’t give a damn.

All I know is we ain’t going to Vietnam.

shibb,Blonde, and Ms. Robyn, thanks a bunch. Ya know, I spent the actual day in a bit of disbelief - I can’t possibly be 50 already!! But that’s passed and life’s back to what it was.

mobo85, I had just gotten that song out of my head. I may have to hurt you now… :stuck_out_tongue:

Welcome to the Wonderful World of the Half-Century, FCM! I beat you here by a couple of months. The only thing about it that’s brought me pleasure so far was when a coworker was shocked, I tell you, shocked, to find out I’m such an old lady, since she thought I was her age, 39. I guess my grandmother had it right: When she was about 85 or so, she told me that every time she looked in a mirror she was shocked to see an old lady looking back at her, since she still felt about 16 inside.

Here’s to feeling 16 into your second and well into your third half-century!

Mama Tiger - I remember looking in a mirror when I was in my 20s and seeing my grandmother staring back at me! That was disquieting! I still see some of her features in my face, although I have to say I think I’m better preserved at 50 than she was. Of course I’ve had an easier life than she did.

Third hafl century?!? I appreciate the thought, but that seems like an awful lot of work!

Well, I was just figuring that my grandmother’s “think young” attitude served her well into her third half-century (102, to be exact), so I want to grow up to be just like her and I figure you’d probably enjoy it, too!

Happy Birthday, FCM! And curses to Rue for getting the Freddy Krueger song in my head.
