I hope someone can show me that I’m wrong about this. I can’t stomach the site long enough to read all the minutia to disprove my theory.
Yesterday Debra Lefavre again made the news when her lawyer claimed that the Florida State police took inappropriate photos of her for use in identifying whether the 14 yo she’s accused of having had sex with actually could prove knowledge of her girly bits.
I thought I had the woman properly pegged in my memory, but I wasn’t sure if she was the same teacher as had been the subject of this thread. So I did a Google search for her name.
And for the first time I came face-to-screen with this website.
I was shocked that someone would have a site advocating freeing this woman. Not that I can’t understand a little fantasizing about what it might have been like to be with her. But there’s a long way from fantasizing about things, even intergeneration sex with persons who are legally unable to consent (especially if the fantasizer is the one who can’t consent.) and actually trying to suggest that she should be freed, prima facie.
If the webmaster would point to a legal problem with the case, that would be one thing. But there is no explicit reasoning behind the cry to free her.
Of course the site is so poorly designed I can’t tell whether the site owner believes she should be freed, or not. I assume so, given the name, but there’s no argument about why she should be freed. Nor any link to a FAQ page. Or even anything useful to the topic about actually freeing the woman. Just links to some news articles, some racy pictures the woman posed for in earlier days, and Ringo’s list of all the teachers who’d recently been arrested on similar charges. Based on what I see on the page, including a list of links to other female teachers who’ve boffed students, the only purpose to the page is to support stroke fantasies for fifteen year old males. (Mental age, if not calendar age.)
I can’t really comment about the Debra LaFave case. At the moment she is accused of crimes, but not yet found guilty of them. That’s not what I’m pitting. And I know that the woman’s case and many of the implications of it, have been discussed all over since the story first broke in 2004. I’ve even participated in some of them here on the Dope. I don’t mean to bring that up again, now.
I’m pitting this site.
Based on what I can see on the site, the webmaster believes that the woman has done nothing wrong, and should be available for other male teens to use, too. I’m pitting the idea that teenaged male students should be allowed to fuck any woman they want, if they’re willing. Whether the woman has an authority position over them, or not. Stroke fantasies are not what should be used for the basis of regulating society.
And, to the webmaster, if that’s what you’re doing with that site, lamebrain, at least admit it, and not hide why you think the woman should be freed!
