I’m home. I ran out of people and had to close by myself. Tommorrow is work all day, go to the hockey game, then stay for the New Year’s Eve puck drop.
rigs, my tree is still up, and I turned on the lights when i got home.
Glad you made it, gt.
$2 Guinness,Haze? I’m sorry I missed it. I like sports, but I also read the Iliad, the Odyssey, and The Prince for fun. I could have been an anti Philistine for you.
What channel? I love the SofM!
I wish our tree was still up, too-- I love the lights at night. But, #1 son’s bday is soon, and I always swore I’d never let Xmas overshadow it. Plus, The Husband could help since it was the weekend (he puts on and takes off the lights).
Hey, I like The Sound of Music. Just don’t tell anyone. g
ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!! WHAT PART OF “WE ARE SOLD OUT FOR THOSE TWO NIGHTS” DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND??? WE DON’T HAVE SECRET ROOMS WE WON’T SELL YOU, YOU KNOW!!!
Ahhhhh. Much better. I didn’t want to post that at work, just in case, though I don’t think anybody would really have a problem, but it’s better to err on the side of caution.
And I was going to stop and get a bit of booze for tomorrow night, but the liquor store was closed. I don’t know if it’s a state thing or what, but I was hoping to avoid the crush when I get off work tomorrow, and I didn’t really want to buy any at the resort store because of the crowds of people we have right now.
Channel 11 here is PBS. ABC is 7. Where are we in our saga? I’m about to take a bath–will I miss the folk dancing? Or the puppet show?
Never mind–I’ll probably miss the whole thing. I’m not much in the mood for schmaltz at present. But it’s still a good show!
I’m not sure what you’d miss because I had it paused (on the DVR) for quite awhile . You’re right about the schmaltz, though. I was just thinking about that myself. I think I may dye my hair and watch the movie during. I’m quite the multi-tasker.
bbs2k, you’re not really gonna steal the mmp or you’re not really gonna be jolly or both?
If you steal the mmp, it might not make you jolly.
But you can not steal the mmp and still be jolly.
Of course you could both not steal the mmp and not be jolly either.
I saw the bit where they leave for Switzerland, but before they sing at the festival. And then I watched Frasier and my Colbert DVD–which is hysterical. It’s a “Best of” one. Very good.
I had to rip out my knitting again. Argh. But this time, I think the stitches are even enough. I tend to make them too tight.
No one wants to talk Harry Potter with me. <sigh> I really must grow up some day.
It’s not Monday here yet, either. We have just under two hours to go before it’s Monday.
Speaking of Monday, I’m taking the day off. Originally, I wasn’t planning to take it off, but on Friday I opted to go ahead and take the day. It’s a training holiday and things would be really slow anyway.
So, instead, I’m going to drag my son into the salon and get his hair cut. He finally admitted that he did need a “teensy bit” of a haircut.
I think that’ll be the extent of my exciting day. Maybe some laundry and I’ll probably take the tree and the Christmas Village down too.
No stealing, bbs2k. I may be on vacation, but I’m still watching you. ::Stares intently::
Yes, rigs, I made it through Chicago and am now in parts unknown. Well, some people know that it’s Germany.
I missed the opportunity for a drunk (well, slightly buzzed is a better description) post. But that was because we were busy playing Cranium and eating chocolate-mousse-filled eclairs (which, by the way, are not terribly difficult to make) and sipping red wine (well, those of us who are of age were doing so).
In other news, we had several whispered discussions about goddaughter and her too-old-for-her boyfriend. He’s very young for his age (and she’s old for hers), but is being closely watched. Her godfather was here for dinner as well and we took great pleasure in tormenting the boyfriend (good humoredly, but still). Goddaughter is an award-winning drama queen, so we’re trying to stay laid back about this so as to avoid unfortunate drama. (Yes, Taters, I thought of you; fortunately, BF isn’t a total stranger and is not quite as out of age range as in your situation…but still…we’ve been trying to avoid  - although godfather gave me a look quite similar to that smiley sometime last evening).
I’m up way before everyone else. They all sleep late and I’m still confused about time.
