And the Goddesses of Bowling smiled favorably down at me last night.

MPSMIS indeed.
Somehow, last night, I took my 122 average in bowling and managed to best my best game of 174 with a 179 in the first game and a 174 in the third. We shall not discuss the averageness of my 119 score for the second game, lest it sully my high.

179 and 174. If I had gotten that lone remaining pin in the 11th frame, I would have gotten 180 (before my final ball.) My mind is still goggling.

I have no idea how it happened other than the fact that I had a dull migraine drilling down the side of my face and taken Imitrex before I left. I bowled through the nagging pain and knitted by myself at a table that was relatively free of cigerette smoke.

I also won the high game with handicap and pocketed a whopping $11. w00t!

And, the previous week, my friend who has been league bowling for 20 years
( she’s only 33) who has a 190 average, bowled a game high of 275! (and then did a 230 in the 3rd, which we said was complete garbage and she would have to do better than that if she wanted to remain on the team for next year.)
That is all.

Thanks for listening.

Go Shirley, go Shirley, she’s a bowler, she’s a bowler …

W00t indeed!

That extra frame sure helps. I wish I had an 11th frame.

Congrats. Did your team win? I ask because my 5-man team lost all three games Sunday despite having the highest series we’ve had all season. We bowled 1165 in one game, and still lost!

Ok, really, the second frame of the tenth.
We split.
We have been in 5th or 6th place out of 11 teams until the last 6 weeks. Now, because everyone is bowling better than us ( we aren’t bowling bad, they are just bowling superb.) we are now 11th.

Go Team Whistlestop Cafe!

Oh, I get that. My team dropped from about 4th at the half-season break to 17th (before losing last week). And like you, we’ve bowled average; but just keep getting out bowled.

Love your team name!

Secret’s in the sauce.
