And the sign said...

Last weekend, Snookie & I were out to dinner. ON the way home, we passed one of those quick tire change places and noted that the sign had some burnt bulbs in it, so it now said :

" UNT TIRE" .
after marveling at it for a moment, Snookie realized the true meaning of this phenomenon.

“It’s true” he said, " DISCO *** is*** dead!

I’ll have to admit, that is incredibly witty. (And I had to read the OP a couple of times before I got it). Reminds me of the Black Angus I saw with the ‘g’ burnt out.

The sign was missing the first 4 letters DISCO which would have made the sign read Discount Tire. Snookie’s remark therefore was fitting: Disco is dead."
