To the OP: That is just so wrong and horrible. How dare he think he could treat his child like that? Children aren’t the property of their parents anymore, and even if they were, that’s no excuse to treat them like that! That’s why there are child abuse laws around to protect the children; rational people (of which this man isn’t one) would agree with me on that point. Grr… sometimes society makes me so mad.

He used physical pain and intimidation to control his child. He readily admits to beating his child.
