Android voice to text app?

I have an app on my Android that converts voice dictation into text, and it works very well. I can dictate, copy, and paste into a text message. Need to switch between the two apps, copy, then go to the text window and hold then select paste. Then send it.

Is there an app that does it all in one? Speak, check of errors, then send it.

A search of the Play Store does not appear to have such an app, unless it’s a semi-hidden feature that doesn’t appear upon initial examination.

Any ideas?

Doesn’t your keyboard have a microphone symbol on it? I just use that to speak my text direct into the text box.

I never noticed that before! Guess I need new glasses. Thank you.

I’d appreciate recommendations for a higher quality voice-to-text app. I’m working with handwritten documents and need them typed. The basic app on my Android phone is about 60% accurate, doesn’t recognize voice commands well, and stops when I pause rather than remaining at the ready. In the past, I used Dragon on a laptop, which worked well, but I’d prefer a phone app. Thanks.

I’d played with “live transcribe” and it seems to work pretty well. I do think it’s designed more for transcribing a speaker or interview though.

That might work okay since I have hundreds of pages to shift to type.

Has anyone used Otter?
