I just got it yesterday, and am thus far entertained. I rented the GameCube version awhile back, and liked it pretty well. Then I heard about the DS version, and included WiFi play, and was sold.
So, anybody else playing it? Maybe we can all trade friends codes?
Well, I should hopefully have plenty of fruit trees of every kind within a weeks or two. Whenever you get it, update this thread with your friend code! Oh and mine:

Anyone know if the Japanese version and the English version play together at all? I’ve been told that Mario Kart does, but I haven’t had the chance to try it w. someone who has the English version.
On that note…anyone want to race? (I’m not so good, so…good chance to boost your win/loss ratio!)
I’m going to try to get a friend to send me the English version of Animal Crossing, as the Japanese version (Doubutsu no mori) has too much reading involved for me to be able to do well. Is it true that it’s in short supply stateside?
Anyone here still playing? I just got my DS Lite this weekend and have already fallen in love with Animal Crossing. I have oranges, you’re welcome to take what you like. I generally won’t be online until after 6 PM EST weekdays, and intermittently on weekends.

I haven’t played it in months but have been tempted to pick it up again. I go in cycles with my DS games, I just started playing Nintendogs and Phoenix Wright again.
I have lots of fruit: peaches, oranges, apples, pears, cherries, and coconuts! (Thanks XJEGTIRLX!) I’m still working on planting orchards, though, but I’ve got a couple of each kind going.
I’m not sure, but I think palm trees attract some of the bigger beetles. Last night I got an atlas beetle and a goliath beetle, and the other day I got two elephant beetles.
IIRC, I’ve got three producing palm trees and three viable saplings. So, if anybody wants coconuts, let me know.
