So elections is just a political version of The Pit?
Come on guys - you can’t possibly continue to pretend there’s much debate left in this forum.

Yeah, guys! Stop telling the truth about his party and its candidate! No fair!
Now Princess Ann tells us that we’re so lucky to have Mitt running in the first place. She’s enough to gag a maggot.
I don’t get the big deal. She said Obama wasn’t a grown-up. In this election season, that pegs about a zero on the outrage meter. There’s nothing to fact-check; she’s just offering her opinion that she doesn’t like Obama’s mien. She’s allowed to do that.
And it was such a grown-up way to offer her opinion.
I realize this is way off topic, but sorry you’re tired of it. But the reality is that the Bush Administration, after botching Tora Bora, started pulling our Special Forces people off the hunt for bin Laden in early 2002 to prepare for the Iraq war, and ultimately disbanded the bin Laden unit altogether in 2006. Obama didn’t just order the assassination of bin Laden, he ordered the reconstitution of the hunt for bin Laden, despite the reality that the trail had gone pretty damned cold by 2009, and he has ruthlessly gone after the entire al Qaeda network in a manner that the supposedly manly Bushies never bothered to do. And of course, back in 2008, both McCain and Romney said no, we couldn’t violate Pakistan’s sovereignty to go after al Qaeda. Obama disagreed - he said we could, and ultimately we had to in order to get Osama bin Laden.
Not to mention there were real risks involved in carrying out the mission - like getting into a shooting match with the Pakistani military - and less than total certainty that bin Laden was actually there. So even when you get to the point of giving the order - and ensuring that we got to that point was Obama’s doing, and the larger part of the deal - it wasn’t exactly a trivial order. Obama deserves credit for being willing to pull that particular trigger.
But you can’t exactly put that on a bumper sticker. So it gets condensed to ‘Obama took out bin Laden.’
Now there might be a better encapsulation of this that I can’t see, but AFAICT, that’s as good as it gets.
It’s a stupid opinion. Does he lie down on the floor and kick his heels when legislation he proposes gets rejected? Do white house dinners take forever because he spends 45 minutes refusing to eat his broccoli? No. He acts like a fucking grown up because that’s what he is and Ann saying he isn’t is bullshit.
Aww, she’d feel better if she went and got what the GOP think women really want - a makeover.
The White House would be a step down for them anyway - no car elevator.
She’s lucky she didn’t slip up and call him ‘boy’.
Her highness is having a melt down because the US can’t see how wonderful Mittens is. She has every right to do that… and we have every right to laugh at her for having her tantrum.
Poor Ann is probably projecting. We have 45 days left for her to break out into a public hissy fit and thrown herself on the ground in a tantrum. Will she keep it together? Can drugs keep her together? (Limbaugh to the rescue!) or will we get to see her embarrass herself royally because her magic knickers are in a knot?
Well, they can always make money from the movie rights. I have the perfect person to play ol’ Mitt. And for Ann.
Maybe we need grownups running this country who ask grownup questions like “why don’t airplane windows open?”
Well, fair enough. But the OP said it was a nasty, cheap shot, and offensive.
This is about 3 orders of magnitude below that.
Yeah, it’s weird. Nobody really seems to like Ann Romney. I wonder why that is…
Cause all you people are just jealous she’s rich storms away yelling “Jeeves… get my pony!”
I didn’t know anything about Ann until her husband won the ® nomination. Maybe I’m atypical but the more she talks, the more I dislike her. I don’t think she’s doing the election effort any good at all…
She comes off as ‘shrill’ in my opinion.
And she is, of course, very defensive of her husband who is falling all over himself trying to hand the election to his opponent. It must be taxing.
Remeber when they first trotted her out? She was touted as the woman who was supposed to make Mittens more likable.
You didn’t know they meant, “by comparison”?
