This isn’t a debate forum. I’m happy that you can see how ridiculous that sort of talk can get when it comes from the left. If only you could hear how ridiculous your own rhetoric sounds. Continuing to flog someone for something she didn’t say is a typical tactic of the present political climate. If this sort of non-discourse continues in WDC (and I have no reason to doubt otherwise), our country can only continue to stagnate.
It’s not? :dubious:
Apparently not when Magellan shows up. Debate implies that you will debate what a person actually said not what you would like to imagine they said.
Well, when you’re defending people who debate empty chairs (and barely eke out a draw), that’s not such a tough standard to meet.
I’ll concede that the difference between a Kennedy and his wealth vs a Romney and his wealth is the Kennedy policy is there to help the poor, the Romney policy is there to benefit the wealthy.
Nobody cares is someone is wealthy, they care if the policy they advocate helps to advance all or just the privileged
Not allowed because it makes the neat argument of trickle down economics messy. The only thing the rich and poor have in common with disease is the disease. You both may die of the disease but the struggle is profoundly different.
That’s why it’s insulting for an insanely rich person to say they are one and the same with the very poor. The rich have no concept of what it’s like to be humiliated in the face of struggle.
Must…resist…hilarious-but-possibly-rule-bending-response.
Whew.
Thanks for the set up, all the same, magellan01. You’re a very generous interlocutor.
