According to a local radio morning show Anna Nicole Smith (our original American train wreck) made quite an impression on last nights American Music Awards.
I have searched the web and can’t find any video clips, but the audio is almost painfully sad.
Dosen’t Dick Clark usually produce these things with an iron fist? What could they have been thinking putting her on stage? Did anyone here see this?
I heard that on the radio at lunchtime too. At first I missed who they were talking about, and only heard the clips of the performance, which were of course dreadful. When the host finally mentioned that it was Anna Nicole Smith I thought, “Oh hey, next maybe he can report that the Pope wears a funny hat.”
Would have been more interesting if it was someone who was respectiable to begin with. 
Saw it on Headline News this morning. She was acting kinda like I do when I (by mistake) mix antihistamines and multiple margaritas. Not feeling *any * pain. Even the still photos are pretty funny.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m pretty much ready for her to go away.
That was even worse than Joe Namath asking to kiss Suzy Kolber during a sideline interview. At least he used that as a wakeup call and checked into an alcoholism clinic.
Good lord…aren’t her 15 minutes up yet??
Side note: Am I the only one who thinks she looked better when she was a bit plumper?
For one shear moment of panic I thought this thread was going to say she had become a doctor. Alas, I see that she is just being as sad as usual.

I missed her being introduced by Kimmel, and her approach to the podium, but I did flip back to the broadcast in time to see her pose for the camera, show off her boobs, and slur “Do you like my body?”
Then she licked a finger and ran it across her breasts, and then slurred her way through the presentation. I can’t even tell you what award they had her announce, because I was too busy thinking to myself, yes, I like your body but your disgusting personality ruins the effect, and frankly, even scares me a little.
I watched a bit of her performance/appearance last night. In fact, I recorded just that little bit so leenmi can see it when he gets home this weekend.
In my non-expert opinion, she was totally faking it. She didn’t look like she was wasted; she looked like she was acting wasted. I’ve seen plenty of episodes of her show on E! and have seen how she acts when she’s medicated. This did not look like that.
Hrm. I should have said I watched a bit of the AMAs last night and caught her performance/appearance.
I dunno… why would she act like she was wasted? It wasn’t entertaining or funny, it was embarrassing and pathetic.
I feel sorry for her… I hope she can get past this.
I had a similar pause, but I thought she’d made a statement about the effects of aging.
Before this thread, when’s the last time there was an Anna Nicole thread, I wonder? No such thing as bad publicity.

Her first 15 minutes with Guess is long over. Why does she get a second 15?
She’s got an image to maintain. If she becomes respectable there’s nothing left to market.
I’m guessing she hasn’t eaten anything except a radish or maybe some jicama in about 19 months. Add some alcohol and/or drugs to low blood sugar and voila, instant confusion. Not an excuse, just an observation.
I really need to see a video of this “performance” and I don’t really know why. I just need it. No one’s had any luck digging one up?
There are links to video at iFilm. It’s at the top where it says “See Anna Nicole drunk.” Her rep said she has poor eyesight and simply couldn’t read the teleprompter, hence the appearance of slurred speech. :dubious:
