For days? We’ve only been engaged … 17hours and 6minutes as of now. I started the thread a little after midnight last night/this morning, so I have no idea what time machine you have, or if you’re reading this on Mercury.
In any event, thanks again everyone. We went apartment shopping today, and we decided we like where I live presently the best.

(I used to know some Swedish–I spent a month in Stockholm mumblemumble years ago–but I don’t remember the Swedish word for congratulations. So I’ll just say skol, and I know that’s spelled wrong too, but I’ve got an American keyboard. At least know my heart’s in the right place. :D)

How nice to hear of this happening at the boards. You didn’t have me fooled for a minute with that weasely title Monfort!
I have a few Nikon cameras and have done a wedding before with great results. (The couple prefered my photos to those taken with a Hasselblad!) If there’s some way to swing it, I’m game for a trip to Vegas.
So let me know if you still need a photographer. If I have enough advance notice I might be able to pull it together. We may have to have a very brief Vegas Dopefest to celebrate, but that is up to the two of you. I just can’t think of a better reason for dopers to get together (as it were).

Congratulations…I’m sure it was the deep conversation and glowing personalities from the Lunch Bunch that convinced her to accept. She needed someway to stay here legally and be close to us. Where are you going to live? Rockville or Sweden?
