Actually, a good friend of mine is a Wiccan whose a gun collector. Here’s how he put it:
“One party wants to take my guns; the other wants to take my religion!”
One of the reasons he’s conservative is he figures he can use his guns to protect his religion. 
As for me, here’s my reply to some of the more obnxious conservatives:
“Better a bleeding heart than a bleeding asshole!”
No, I haven’t actually said it, but I’ve thought it. Then again, I consider myself an independent and, on the Political Compass that’s been discussed in GD, I come out 0.88 to the left on the Left-Right scale (It runs up to 10 on either side). Thus, my true position:
