My daughter currently battles against this illness. On good days she will eat a few bites, drink her Ensure, take her meds., and smile. On bad days she refuses all food and liquids, has panic attacks, clings to me and begs for help. Have any dopers been there, and can you give me advice to help her overcome?

Yes, get help. I’ve been there, and I came out of it OK with no help, but I was never as bad as the case you described. Your daughter might not be as lucky as I was.
