What made you think that? Is the men performing oral sex on other men? There might be a perfectly reasonable explanation for that.

Is it possible that the people at rentboy.com knew who Rekers was and alerted the media? They are getting a ton of publicity from mainstream media. If they didn’t, well, lucky them!
I’m going to give a fully amateur opinion and say no. Publicity is good…but only certain kinds of publicity. The “escort” industry’s standard disclaimers seem pretty flimsy to me, kind of like putting up a sign near your unfenced in-ground backyard swimming pool that says, “Entering this pool means that you agree not to hold the owner liable for injury or death incurred within this pool.” Not enforceable.
Which means that if a site like Rentboy.com gets the wrong kind of publicity (which is massive indiscriminate publicity), it can become a source of law enforcement stings on the escorts advertising within. As was posted before, this kind of thing is low-priority most of the time, but every now and then police departments get serious about prostitution (whether because of a mayoral election or whatever). Escorts don’t really want to be famous in a general way…if you’re TOO recognizable (and I have a feeling if Geo keeps getting exposure, it’ll happen to him), some people (especially closeted people) won’t want to hire you. Being “famous” among the community that hires escorts is good. Being famous on the wider scale is not.

I’m usually not one in favor of kicking them while they’re down, but this story is just too good, and Rekers is just so loathsome that I can’t get enough. So, I can’t help but pass on a link to the new song, “Rentboy.”
Over on Christian Forums, an anti-gay member was spreading the usual BS about homosexuality, and cited NARTH as a source. May God forgive me for the glee I felt in quoting that passage and cite and responding with:

Apparently, because that’s where his rentboy wanted to go (and probably Rev. Rekers wanted to be far away from his flock, too).
In one of his statements, ‘Lucian’ indicated that he expressed a preference for London & Spain for this trip.
I don’t know if that should be considered Epic Fail or Epic Win. Guess it depends on your viewpoint
