Today didn’t start out too blurfy, but then there was the 9AM webinar in the darkened room. Turned out to be for a grant program that, if I followed it right, isn’t available to cities, only to states, which can then distribute funds to cities. And I’ve heard a rumor that our state doesn’t participate. Blurf in the dark with two pages of random notes of stuff to do at home and on work projects.
Casting the memory back, son and I did some spring cleaning and home repair on Friday. On Saturday my left knee took exception. Spent Sat and Sun stiff. Not too bad now. Need to walk during lunch, to be sure.

You know, today really is a Moanday. On the boat, every day is pretty much the same for all 28 days, but today I am really feeling it. There’s no weekends or holidays or anything, out here, so Mondays usually are just another day on the boat. But today, pure blurf. I just wanna cuddle up in bed all day long for some reason.
PLUS MY EYES STILL HAVE CRUSTY STUFFS IN THEM?!! Ergghhh!!!
Somebody has figured out how to get you to leave. 
Thank goodness I have never smelled burned fish.

The real “Dang!” was a year and a half ago when I had the spinal disc replacement, and when I woke up in recovery, they put a soft collar on me and said “go home.”
The check-in process will take longer than the actual surgery. Spineydoc says it takes 35 minutes. I figure he’s done a lot of these to be able to give such a strangely specific time.
I’m getting really tired of this weather. It’s been so hot the past couple of days that the AC can’t cope. The local power company is also having coping issues. We’re on the edge of a brownout and the UPS for my computer has been clicking all afternoon long as it’s trying to decide if it needs to go to batteries or not. :eek:
I went to work today. Mr. Sleepy Guy was in the lunch room again today. Haha 
I don’t know exactly who he is, but he has a uniform so he must be some sort of local worker.
Crap, I should be doing laundry.
AAAAAAAAAAnd we’re back! Nice (but long) drive to Mardela Springs, MD to this place. Not only did they have a lot of cool corals and anemones, but they had a pair of boxers and their 7 puppehs!!! So KEY-OOT!
I think they said the pups are 7 weeks old. The parents are black and white, and most of the pups are B&W or mostly white, but there was one brindle in the bunch. Love them recessive genes! 
And the parent dogs were real sweeties - they just wanted to be loved on. At one point, the daddy dog sat on my feet while I was giving him skritches!
We bought a couple of corals which are being acclimated right now. They can go into the tank in an hour or so.
And on the way home, we stopped at Sonic for milkshakes, so yum for that. They were really filling, so I don’t know what, if anything, we’ll have for supper. Probably cheese-n-crackers later on.
I’m just glad to be out of the car.

Forgot to mention - Higgs was somewhat disturbed by the smell of other doggies on my legs and shorts. She’s so insecure!!

Okay, our dogs and cats feel the same way.
When I come home from the pet store, I feel so cheap. 
It’s 73 right now in the high country. But it’s been muggy a lot this week so I have to keep turning up the dehumidifier, then turning it off when it freezes up on the back, lather rinse repeat.
Yay Older Sister is in town! She has discovered the hotel’s cement pond, so she’s set for the evening. Better her than me. I don’t like activities where I have to take my glasses off. I don’t trust things I can’t see.
FCM does this mean Higgs will be getting a baby brother or sister? You know how spoiled only children can be.
My dog is so used to me smelling of other dogs and cats he doesn’t even pay attention. My mastiff used to sniff me and give me a how could you? look as he walked away.
My settlement day got moved up to Sept 6, so the countdown begins. Twenty-five more days.
It’s starting to feel real.
The girl next door is going to take over my pet sitting, under my company name until the insurance and bonding runs out then she will get her own bonding and insurance. I hope she does well with it, when the economy was good I was doing 8-10 dog walks a day. If things pick up and she can get it up to that level again, at $15-$20 a walk she can make some nice money. If she decides she doesn’t like it then she can just let everyone know and let it drop.
We got pizza tonight so tomorrow is just laundry day and lots of irk day since I haven’t irked at all today. I will in a bit, I just feel frazzled right now.
It’s gorgeous stuff, but yeah, pricey. The guy said everything they get from Australia is really expensive, but really nice and healthy. We asked about one specimen - it was around $200. We didn’t buy it.
Not only no, but ***HELLS NO!!!

But I was thinking what it’d be like to bring one of the pups home. Right now, they’re just barely smaller than she is. The parents are maybe 30" or so at the shoulder - just slightly bigger than our puglet! 
But, absolutely no more dogs. Honestly, I didn’t want this one. I thought we’d agreed on no more dogs… :rolleyes:
So, what do y’all think? Will MOOOOOOM get a male or female boxer puppeh?
Dindin was good. I said green beans earlier but I meant lima beans. I likes lima beans. So we had grownup dindin and then I “welcomed” OYKW back home. Now he’s at his place cause he’s tahrd and I’m here at da cave also tahrd. I foresee an earlyish beddybye time.

If I did want a dog, I’d go to the shelter or a rescue group.
