Another cool way to help out charities on the web

There were a few threads a while back about The Hunger Site, which, in case you haven’t visited it lately, now has a sister site, The Rainforest Site. Currently you can save 16.2 square feet of rainforest per click.

Another cool site, listed as one of the sponsers of The Rainforest Site, is zeal.com. Pick any tax-deductible charity you want and submit your favorite web sites (and rate others’ submissions) to earn money for your charity. It’s a great way for broke folks like myself to give what they don’t have. If you refer another user, your charity gets a big, fat greenback - one U.S. dollar. So if y’all sign up and put my email address - neutronstar@planetmail.com - as your referrer, the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network will get a dollar. Not a bad deal.

Happy donating

Whoops. Follow this link to get directly to the charity page on zeal.com.

C’mon, where are all the kind-hearted souls?

Webreleaf, sponsored by ENN, American Forests and the National Arbor Day Foundation. For every 10 people who click, a tree will be planted. They’re shooting for 20,000 trees in the pilot phase, and are working on getting sponsors to continue the project after they hit that goal.
