In this thread, I got some excellent guidance about how to obtain “First Day of Issue” cancellations for stamps.
Unfortunately, in the last two years my memory has dimmed and the link provided in the key post that answered my question is no longer good.
I would like to get some envelopes stamped with the new “Christmas: Madonna & Child” stamp on the first day of issue, which will apparently be October 14. To what postmaster do I send my request?
And any general commentary on how to accomplish this for a couple hundred envelopes at once would be most appreciated.
