FOX is looking to start up yet another new network. This one aimed at “young adult” viewers. Unlike the other five networks, who have absolutely no interest in that demographic.
Young adults, eh? Could this station bring promise of new Futuraam episodes? Young adults like that, right?
Finally, young adults will have a network catering to THEM! No longer will they be forced to endure the stodgy entertainment of the older generations. Like American Idol.
It’s just cheap filler so they have something to run on their UPN stations that were left in the dark by the new CW network.
Those telenovellas sound a lot like the dramas the show in Korea that are hugely popular in most of eastern Asia. I’ll admit to being sucked into more than a few in my lifetime (you can rent a tape with two 1 hour episodes on it for a buck from the local Korean grocery store). If they do the shows right, they could be a gigantic money maker for Fox. The name of the network leaves a little something to be desired though.
Exactly right. They own the stations and cannot afford to have them broadcast just static.
You gotta indoctrinate 'em when they’re young…
I’ve got a question. If Fox has created this new network to put all their crap on, what exactly will be leftover for their primary Fox channels?
Same thing that’s always been there. Sounds to me like they’re aiming for the former WB’s target audience.
You’re all so pessimistic. Just think: there’ll be twice as many awesome first-season DVD sets you’ll be able to watch after Fox cancels them three episodes in.
It’s just another channel that they can create a dozen more good new shows every year…and then cancel them after the third episode…then make huge profits selling the DVDs with the remaining 10 unaired episodes.
Futurama’s too good for young adults.
Are they making people tune in? I mean, I still get to control the buttons on my remote, don’t I?
