Apparently, the government will have to step in and regulate this. These kids have been exploited enough. Now, just when the media glare is beginning to fade, it all starts back up again.
I’m disappointed that TLC is even negotiating to bring this train wreck back on tv. Obviously the lure of big $$$$ means more than the kids health. They are using a lawsuit to force Jon Gosselin to allow filming again. Either he goes along, or they destroy him financially.
The thing is, Kate Gosselin can make $$$ on her own without exploiting her kids. She’s about to publish a third book. She’s making bucket loads of money making personal appearances. Why risk harming this children even more.
I hope the state of Pennsylvania finally acts. Someone has to step in and protect these kids from the money grubbers. I’ve seen too many child stars with grown up drug addictions and suicides.
Desperate, desperate money-grubbing. That third book she’s writing, too - a ‘love letter to each of her children’. Just disgusting. Well, interest in them has faded fast, so I guess they figure they better hurry up and try to do something to eke out a few more bucks. If they do get another TV show, their simple-minded fans will still watch it, won’t they?
Oh yeah, people will flock to see the spectacle with this family. I’d like to think that some fans won’t return. The situation with the kids has gotten a lot worse since the paparazzi started stalking the family 24/7.
I watched the show the first season and their life seemed pretty normal. By the second season, they started taking all these trips and it became apparent they were living a richer lifestyle. I quit watching after the second season.
Jon has made a lot of mistakes with the women and drinking. The one thing he did right was insisting that filming the kids stop. His motives may be suspect, but getting the cameras out of those kids lives was important. TLC is really playing hard ball. Jon is being sued and he’s not allowed to do any media appearances. He has no way to earn a living. TLC has him boxed in, so he has to allow filming. He’s facing child support payments for 8 kids.

I don’t feel sorry for this guy at all. He bought his own troubles. But, it looks like TLC has a way to force him to allow the kids filming. That’s pretty appalling. IMO
Huh?
Most people manage to earn a living without doing any “media appearances.” Why can’t he?
Personally, I don’t give a rat’s ass about these people. If they annoy you, the best way to get them out of the public eye is to stop paying so much fucking attention to them. I’m trying to do my part.
What company is going to hire him, based on all the negative publicity that doing so would bring? He was an IT guy, but his skills are years out of date, and he brings a shitload of baggage with him now. He’s unhirable except in the entertainment industry, and that’s being stopped by the network.
