I'm rueing the fact that I know who Jon and Kate Gosselin are

The wife used to watch the horrible show. I think it was worth a 30 minute special, but a freakin’ series? Whatever.

Now that these two dimwits have decided to divorce, I hear them on the news and on most websites on a daily basis.

There was a charming Black family from Houston on Oprah the other day (the wife taped it, and I happened to be walking by). I think they had 4 or 5 kids. Now they seemed to be interesting and funny folks. Why didn’t TLC recruit them for a show? I suppose a reasonably well-adjusted, loving family would make for bad TV.

This Jon character seems to be the poster boy for Douchebag Illustrated. Apparently he cleaned out their bank account a week after saying he wanted to reconcile.

If there was a “Porn Pool” (instead of the “Death Pool”) I’d put this fool at the top of the list.

And as much as I hate to say it… what about the children?!? They’re going to have their own shows about getting therapy (all eight of 'em) after this shitstorm is over.

OK, thanks for sharing.

No no no, it’s…

Cool story, bro.

I had never watched the show, before their marital problems hit the tabloids. I remember when my wife first said, “So did you hear about Jon and Kate,” I was like, “Who?”

Both Jon and Kate look like a couple of jerks to me.

Good thing they had so many kids, all the asswipes in this world aren’t reproducing enough.

I wonder if publicists study Jon to know what NOT to do. When the divorce news broke, he was the hero, finally standing up to a shrill wife that was exploiting their children. Now, Kate’s the good one and Jon is a jerk.

I’m embarrassed to have started this thread, but shit, I had to tell somebody. People IRL would remove me from my respected place in the community if they knew I was following this.

Maybe it’s like power. Those who want it (or a reality show) are the ones who shouldn’t have it, and those who don’t want it, are the ones who should. Maybe they’re the kind of family who think a one time Oprah special is fine but don’t want to expose their kids to being on a reality show.

Anyway, Jon and Kate are two sad, sad people, and I too wish they’d just leave.

Woe is me…I live less than an hour from them.

I was watching a show or something, and someone made a joke referring to Jon Gosselin and everyone laughed. I felt really out of tune not knowing who they were talking about.

But, I DO know who “Jon and Kate” are, and who “Jon and Kate Gosselin” are. I know the story, I’ve read some articles.

It’s just that “Jon Gosselin” as a single entity is a big ol’ woosh to me
