At the police press conference, I believe they said two suspects were dead (one male and one female) and a third was detained.
The alternative is that something like this happens, and there is a press blackout. Allowing the police or other authorities to censor the press is like putting banana peels on the ice covering a slippery slope.
Yep, my mistake. They detained a third individual who was running from the scene and have that person in custody. The chief said it has not been determined what connection that person has, if any, to the shooting.
He did indicate there is a possibility of others being involved but it didn’t seem like that is based on anything solid at the moment.
But yes, there is not a known third person at large.
Apparently information after the original shooting led the police to a house in Redlands (a town next to San Bernardino). When police approached the house, the man and woman fled in the black SUV back toward San Bernardino where the final gun battle occurred.

There has been no report that the victims were the disabled people, they might have been administrators.
It’s all in the subtext: (1) Arab name + (2) shooter + (3) non-Arab victims. (Edit: And, if I’m honest, (4) the specific relative who linked to the article in the first place, which colored my reading.)
Has there been any ID of the perpetrators or their motives yet? I mean if they killed two suspects they should at least be able to figure out who they were.
I’m also 15 miles from SB. Have a friend who lives practically right in that neighborhood (and am planning on going to his house this Friday for a poker game). I doubt he would have any reason to be in or around that particular building but checked in on FB to make sure.

I would like to point out that a person named Farooq Saeed or Syed Farook is likely to be a Muslim, but not necessarily an Arab.
According to this NBC producer, Sayeed Farouk is an American citizen and this possibly started as a workplace dispute. Aalso his brother might be one of the other suspects.
I don’t know though. Who brings bombs and three other people to a workplace dispute (as opposed to who of us just fantasizes about it.)
How exactly do you think that would work? We would all still hear about an incident like this (e.g., via social media) but would be unable to get any factual information from, in your words, “the fucking press.”
The factual information part of your comment is actually funny. CNN has had every supposed expert, giving every imaginable hypothetical fact regarding what/who/why this might/could/should have happened with respect to the event. Factual information won’t be available for days, maybe weeks. Meanwhile, non-stop coverage keeps coming making those with less than full decks think this might be a cool way to gain shit-loads of attention.
