Another Pop Song ID

“It was the ?? ?? (of the?) ?? ??”

This phrase keeps popping up in my head and I think it’s from a fairly recent song (or just one I heard recently).
The ?? words are, I think, describing some sort of event (like “first day of the Hog Fair” )

I can’t seem to think of anything more - my brain keeps going into “The Freshman” by The Verve [Pipe?] which I think is similar to what this song sounds like. It was also triggered when listening to JCB by Nizlopi (recently linked here).

Any ideas?

Remembered it this morning!

The song’s by Glen Philips, I think it’s called ‘Good Boy’ and the line is actually “I was the driver for the drive by.”
