Another Summer Comes to the End MMP

When thieves fall out.

We’re still in the heat wave; can I have the large bucket of ice water for when I finish running later on. That’s so thoughtful of your Mouse.

I don’t recall mentioning anything about taking the water out of the bucket…

Well, I have new kitchen cabinets and while they’ll take some getting used to, I likes them, especially the set in the laundry room to store the stuff so I can use my closet for brooms/mops/other things I never use…

Hopefully the bathroom will be the next object of attention. The bathtub was delivered today and is sitting in my garage.

Promised rain seems to have disappeared, so soccer practice is on in about 90 minutes.

Hang on, it’s nearly bedtime here now! Mind keeping the bucket 'o water (won’t be that icy by then) 'til tomorrow morning? I have to get up early again then for cleaning irk. Ta.

Left waitressing irk early again, though only half an hour early this time, mostly 'cos the other waiter and barman started talking about sports and wouldn’t stop. Oh, plus we were dead quiet. I hereby declare the tourist season (mostly) over. There’s still quite a few on the roads, but this weekend is probably going to be pretty much it. There goes the extra income, but it was just extra; I think I’ll be paying for the Milan trip entirely from that job.

I thought you’d dump the entire bucket over my head/shoulders; that would be quite refreshing & cool me off. Oh well, I’ll just stick my head in it.
:stuck_out_tongue:

Metal Mouse; add some candiru to the bucket.

We have supped. This afternoon has been N.O.S. and quite pleasant. That’s suppose to hold for the weekend and the soiree at the cee-mint pond. Oh and I made up a bunch of stuffed jalapeño poppers for nosh purposes on Sattidy. I also chopped up a bunch of green bell peppers and onions and sweated 'em. Prep irk for the baked beans. Tomorrow is make a bunch of other stuff day.

Today the temperature was actually bearable. Yay!

**FCD **asked me to stop for milk, and among other things, I got a poke loin for cheap, so that was supper, with broccoli and fried N.O.T.-n-onions. Very yum!

Got an email from an old bf today - he’s considering marriage… again… this would be #5. You’d think he’d figure it out. Surely he’s trying unsuccessfully to find a replacement for the one who got away - me!

Time for knittage. The week is almost over - yay!

Did I tell you that one of our tomato plants turned out to be an anaheim pepper plant?
I thought it was just an underachiever until it produced a couple of odd shaped protuberances. Tasted one, (picked it first.) Too bad it’s not producing more.
Our watermelons and spaghetti squashes are underachievers too. They started out great but never got very big. le sigh

Now I need to walk over to the credit union. I had a pistol on consignment and the shop owner sent me a check. I’ll have to decide how to spend my ill-gotten gains later.

Mom, why is old BF telling you about his upcoming nuptials? Maybe he thinks he’s the one who got away and wants you to be jealous?

Sometimes I think I should go move in next door to Swampy, but then I think I’d be back to 300+ pounds again. :stuck_out_tongue:

 emily! That would be scary to be locked in the loo.

I ducked out an hour early today. Tomorrow I’ll likely show up long enough to do the Friday reports and hang out until lunch on the off chance that adjustment requests come in. Month end in my department is either feast or famine.

A former girl friend occasional calls me. What did Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) call it, “a ranging call”?

I made some jalapeno “poppers” when I was with Mrs. Plant (v.2.0), left a note on them “I am going to eat these later”. Turkey bacon, as I recall. Nonetheless, she ate one. The Nice Jewish Girl hollered, “Jesus Christ! What are you trying to do, kill me?”

I wasn’t locked in the bathroom itself, but in that section of the school.

I should take out my alto clarinet tonight.

Pretty much slothed today. Doing mesquite rubbed chicken. I’m brining it with Liquid Smoke, olive oil, salt, and 2 chili Arbols first.

If I won the lottery, I’d assume they’d deliver.

Home from my short trip with my mom. Yesterday we drove through Netawaka KS, to see some family graves and to go past the house where my dad was born. Then we went to Hiawatha, KS, saw the Davis Memorial again(Google it!) and I also dropped by the shelter where I got my dog. They still had up a picture I sent them at Christmas, of my Mauser with Santa. There were some adorable kittens but I couldn’t stand to look long.

Drove west to Marysville, toured the Pony Express Museum and the Koester House. The latter was the home of a well to do citizen in the early part of the 20th century, almost completely as it was then, and tours are given. I finally saw one of the black squirrels the town has as its’ mascot. It was my fourth trip through the town and I’d never managed to keep sight of one. Drove north to Beatrice NE and stopped for the night.

Today we drove to my cousin’s house in Weeping Water NE and had a nice long visit, then drove home to Topeka. It was a short trip but a lot of fun.

I want one so badly!

Bumba - he and I have been in touch for about 17 years or so - he found me because my maiden name is very rare. Anyway, we catch up sporadically, and this was part of his catch up. His life is a mess for a variety of reasons but he was my first bf and I am still fond of him, even tho I haven’t seen him since 1975.

We lost power for about an hour tonight, but it’s back and life is good. I’m about to crash. Just gotta get thru tomorrow.

There was a night time graduation party in 1974, involving volley ball where each player had a quart of beer on the side line. Bottle rockets were involved, but I do not recall the details.
Oh yeah, Chandler brought a young lady. Riel, who became a physician in the US Army streaked. Thank G-d he fell face downwards when he passed out and Chandler’s .date had to step over him.
Good Times at the time.

No, no, my Mauser looks like this.
