Another Summer Comes to the End MMP

Nice touch.

FCM, married five times?!?! I haven’t even married once.

Cupcakes, you have done something few people have ever accomplished: you have made Kansas sound interesting. :p;) I’m afraid Nebraska is a lost cause, however…

Bumba, just a wrong seed in the packet?

Good soccer practice with the U12 girls, let Golden Corral stuff me (Pot Roast and Noodles with Gravy, not quite as good as Mom used to make, but edible) so heading off to bed shortly.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and dark with a predicted high of 91 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. It rained a bunch last evenin’, startin’ about eight and was rainin’ pretty hard when we went beddy bye around ten. This was not predicted by TWPTB. Weird. Today is prep foodstuffs for tomorrow’s soiree at the cee-mint pond. Tonight we shall sup upon some of the pulled poke in the form of bbq sammiches with coleslaw (bein’ made today for tomorrow) and oven fries. Other than that, not a whole lot else happenin’ at da cave today.

I know several people who have been married multiple times. I think some people like the idea of gettin’ married but stayin’ married, not so much. To each his/her own I reckon.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Today is my Firday. Again.

It is interesting! If you like corn and call centers.

Happy Firday!

I managed to sleep until 5am today.

It’s hot, humid, and raining outside. It’s not really that hot, only 73 degrees.

Nothing much going on today. Just irk and house irk.

Morning. Up and at ‘em. Finally Firday. If I can just make it today and half day tomorrow…I expect it to be not so slow with the holiday. We shall see. I am a clerk again today so that means dealing with people :eek:

Happy weekend all.

His first 2 ended in ugly divorces, and his 3 daughters from those marriages no longer talk to him. I tend to believe him when he said his ex-wives poisoned the girls against him, but maybe I’m biased.

Anyway, #3 was actually a very good situation for him, but sadly, she developed cancer and died, leaving him with a 10-y/o son. And I think he was a bit mentally unbalanced after that, because he was married again within a couple of weeks of the funeral, which, of course, didn’t sit well with his son. And that marriage didn’t last a year. It’s been a bunch of years and he’s been dating again, because apparently, that’s what he does. Except when we were dating. Did I mention he’s the one who dumped me??? So, yeah, his loss. :stuck_out_tongue:

TGIF!! Power stayed on all night and we got a little rain at some point. More may come today. I think I’ve got enough to keep me busy for the day, then I’ll be out of work again.

Happy Firday!!

Phone is wonky & on it’s last legs. It spontaneously reboots & yestidy it wouldn’t even turn on for 5 hrs (despite being mostly charged before & then plugged in during that time period). New one shall arrive at house on Satidy; which means I’ll get it Moanday night. That’s the long way around you may or not hear from me again this MMP as I’m off to the Shire of New Hampsters.

Remember to use Coasters in case Jones doesn’t comes along.

Just looked; as of last night, I now have over 300 miles on the current running shoes; usually keep running shoes for somewhere between 300 & 400 miles; which means they’re not long as my primary running shoes. I already have replacements; should probably start thinking about working them in soon.

I have one of these.

Metal Mouse, I know his affection for big sister will not take this form forever. But I’ve got to enjoy every sweet moment I can before they grow up… and that’s happening too fast!

Juliet Jr. loved her first day of kindergarten. A few of her friends from 4K last year are back, and there are a few new kids. She likes her teacher and is excited to go back.

Tonight, my brother’s 2 kids will spend the night. My husband works late, so it’s going to be me + 4 kids, all age 6 and under. But tomorrow night, they’re taking the kiddos, so we’ll get a night out. Not sure what we’re going to do, but we’re going to figure something out. While I love Netflix and Chill as much as the next person, I want to get out of the house!

The weather is threatening rain today so maybe it shant be too busy. I did payroll and now just waiting for the hoards.

I
HATE
THE
STEELERS!!!

Got caught in the stadium traffic last night coming home from work.

Other than that TGIF and we’re going to Waldameer tomorrow. Our first trip there this season due to the constant rain and all. Much fun will be had.

<snaps fingers> This close.

They always speak highly of you. :dubious:

Actually with a couple of them both past and present ---- not really. I tossed Big Ben from a club/bar and some friends and I had to teach Webster and some of his friends their place in our hierarchy. Those are just two of the events that spring to mind first; there have been dozens. About the only Steelers who would have spoken well of me was Dwight Stone; he dated a coworker of the OW and was actually a pretty nice guy. And Old Art and my clan crossed blood-lines and he was OK the couple times I met him around Da Hood. But other than that you would be hard pressed to find a bigger collection of jerks ----- even in the Trump administration ------ and my disdain for them has been noticed.

Lunch is over. Back to work. Rah. C’mon 3:30!!!

Busy morning. All the cabinets are installed in the house, there is a crew installing side molding or stuff (I don’t know what they are doing, to be honest) and the Granite guy is here taking measurements for that installation. Plus the contractor showed up to get his chunk of money for the week, so lots of folks in and out of the place. I’ll be glad when I get my house back.

ruble, most guys with money often develop bad habits; or maybe they were just jerks in the first place (lots of HS Football players are, in my view). Forget them and enjoy the weekend.

Butters, just looked at the Radar and most of the rain is moving off, but there is one promising shower that might slow people down…take it easy.

Juliet, good luck with the kiddos. And tomorrow you said:

wink, wink, nudge nudge Seriously, get out and decompress.

Hey, Spidey’s gone! Break out the good booze!

Soccer practice tonight and uniform distribution tomorrow, so at least I’ll get out of the house.

Yesterday was cloudy all day. Today it’s looking very similar. I shall shortly be commencing my Snoopy dance of Fall.

I must make phone calls and accomplish things today. For now, I shall drink coffee and not. Happy Firday all!

Don’t tell me the kids have been playing soccer in their unders!!

We start them at 3 years old, so some of them…but the parents bought the uniforms with their registration, but they have to come to the Soccer Central (concession stand) to pick them up. Been doing it for the past 4 weeks and there are still parents who haven’t got their kid’s jersey (to be fair, we’ve also had some late registrants).

Hey, it gets me out of the house and among friends.

Thinking seriously about nappage.

We got it as a sprog at the high school greenhouse sale so most likely someone picked it up from the ‘peppers’ tray and sat it down in the ‘maters’ tray and we didn’t notice that the foliage was a bit different. Or something. I dunno.

I do something similar at the grockery store quite often. I’ll be chugging along and *“Oh hey, there’s the kidney beans”. * and grab four cans, and when I get home I’ve got three cans of kidney beans and one can of black beans.
