Unless you turn the tables and then you’re a pedophile for discussing sex with kids.
It’s perfectly possible (indeed, likely) to generally dislike abortion and call yourself pro-life and not be a lying sack of woman hating shit. But I have never seen a true “pro-life” activist who was anything else. The leaders of this movement are not the same as it’s nominal adherents, most of whom are ok people. The leaders are lying misogynists.
And Ají de Gallina, the fetus was absolutely inaccurately portrayed, as has already been shown. But what else can you expect from these types of people? They never let facts get in the way of their opinions.
I’ve spent some time talking with anti-abortion people and reading their side. They are so screwed up it makes your head spin. I would never want to be associated with their side. Cite
Their agenda is simple: THEY WANT TO STOP ALL ABORTIONS. They will break each and every commandment to do so. Killing people is a great way to proclaim yourself “pro-life.” And the 9/11 radical Islamist were following a “religion of peace.”
(warning: pictures of a micropreemie with intensive care level medical equipment ahead)
My daughter, like all micropreemies, was red-pink (“erythematous”) at 23 weeks, 'cause you could see all the capillaries through her tissue thin skin. Her general body color was about like the inside of a sore throat (and she was moist from the Aquafor ointment her nurse kept her slathered in to reduce skin tears).
A friend of mine said his expected Black baby looked White. Fearing there had been a mix up, he asked, “Is there a White woman here who is also in trouble?”
I don’t believe you would’ve been (even remotely as) peeved by basically anything except a reminder of a scientific truth, i.e., that whatver the humanness of the fetus, it is destroyed during an abortion.
Suddenly scientific truth isn’t good enough.
Would you be against toys that discouraged PCP use?
It’s only because it’s about abortion, period.
Totally the opposite.
Would you have been “more” OK if the toys were 100% accurate.
BTW, I am “these type of people” and yeah, we care about scientific truth.
Killing people? More abortion-providers have been killed by other abortion-providers than by pro-life people since Roe.
It’s all very simple. People who like abortion, don’t like that other people hate it.
Pro-choice IS pro-abortion, always. Abortion is more complicated than putting mayo on your hot dog.
Nobody’s pro-choice on slavery or spousal abuse.
Yuor complaint was that they weren’t accurate and my questions was if accuracy was the problem.
I support scientifically accurate fetus toys that would discourage people from having and/or promoting abortions.
I also support not quite scientifically accurate fetus toys that would discourage people from having and/or promoting abortions.
No thanks.
That’s what you say, but the vehemnt defense it gets is surprising for something supposedly not liked. It is seen, at the very least, as an incredibly postive thing.
Sure, it’s a toy, but since it’s scientifically inaccurate your point will be lost.
Actually, it has content; it takes a bit of time to load, though.
I’m not going to bother perusing the contents, however; my evenings off work are too precious, and there are literally THOUSANDS of free pornography images I haven’t viewed yet. I’ll content myself with a blanket condemnation of pro-choice violence, wherever it occurs.
I’ll also point out that its existence, however widespread (or otherwise) it may be, does not make the pro-choice position the less ethical one.
Ají de Gallina, a question: are you arguing that no woman ever makes a free and conscious choice to bear a child? It’s my understanding that the pro-choice position implicitly supports that choice as well.
