A new Missouri state law will take effect Sunday (1 July). It will then be illegal for telemarketers to call anyone Missouri residents if their name is on a do-not-call list.
But until then it’s perfectly legal to call someone a Missouri resident!
Seriously though, this is good, but I don’t know how useful. As I hear it told, it can take months for the do-not-call lists to be updated. And some companies have special lists and you have to be on their list, not just the other list.
BASTARD! What? Nevermind.
I think that fucking CitiBank and Providian are trying to get in every. last. possible. call. before this goes into effect. I’ve had to tell at LEAST ten people in the last TWO DAYS to put us on their damn Do Not Call list. Fuckers. FUCKERS!
