Antiperspirant, deodorant or neither?

Do you use antiperspirant, deodorant or neither?

Me, I cannot use just a deodorant. When I’m active I, er, glisten like there’s no tomorrow. I must use an antiperspirant.

I’ve been using Dove for a little over a year now and I really like it. Because of my allergy problems I only use unscented.

I also use Dove antipersp., but original. To try to keep my suits from getting damaged, I must use it.

My desire to keep my friends forces me to use an antiperspirant/deordorant. Secret Platinum, to be precise. Otherwise I smell like garlic and goat cheese.

I use a deodorant: Avalon Botanicals; smelled every product in the store, and this smelled best. Works great, too–heavy on the anti-bacterial essential oils, and proves to work well. I am outside every day, in a physically demanding job, and this works for me. Although I’m outside, I’m in retail, so don’t want to stink. In selecting a product: I figger if you are s’posed to perspire, there’s a good biological reason for it. It’s the bacteria caught in the ol’ pits that cause a stink, so using products that nip that in the bud make sense. So far it’s worked fine.

I’m allergic to most antiperspirants (the aluminum ingredient), so I don’t use those at all.
Occasionally I put on a deodorant, but mostly I go au natural. I’m among those fortunate enough to be able to get by without it. I only stink if I’ve been really active and it’s summertime. Otherwise, my smell is mild to non-existent and doesn’t bother anyone. And I have asked, including my ex-wife, who has the most sensitive nose of anyone.

I cannot imagine putting such chemicals on my body. My sweat does not have a high odor factor and although I might be soaked, I rarely stink. Girlfriends have expressed outrage that they smell like a goat at day’s end and I’m still relatively fresh. A dab of Cologne and I’m good to go.
Lennie: I’m a shower man.

Carl: I prefer a hot bath.

Homer: I’m a Cologne kinda guy.

I go with antiperspirants- I just use the cheap store band and it works well enough for me. Without it, I tend to smell horrible.

I have had to deal with people who think that “a dab of cologne and I’m good to go.”

Believe me, you likely stink. The cologne does not make it any better. What do you think cologne is? CHEMICALS!

Personally, I use deoderant. Old Spice deoderant. Anti-persperants are either that flaky white crap, or the clear stuff that ruins shirts.

Trust me, Old Spice smells worse than most people’s BO.

I mentioned how my girlfriends were amazed at my lack of odiferous emanations (well, maybe not after eating beans). I do not ‘stink’ and rarely do.

Cologne has yet to be implicated in causing Alzheimer’s disease, so I’ll stick to it. Alcohol, flower and spice extracts have all been around for millennia and sound a heckuva a lot safer than aluminumchlorylhydrate. Pick your poison.

I use an antiperspirant deordorant called Soft and Gentle - no sting, nice smell.

I dont know if I smell that bad without because I never leave the house without it and I shower at least once a day.

I CANNOT leave the house wearing perfume either  I don’t smell overpowering though, lots of people have commented “oh you smell really good” which is much nicer than “why is there a smell of burgers in here”

So long as you wash and change your clothes, you won’t ‘stink’ at the end of /one day/ unless there’s something very wrong with you, or your diet.

If you drape yourself in artificial stenches on the other hand …
