I am presently looking for a large peice of art ( what exact style is yet to be decided.) and enjoy look at the art for sale on Ebay that some of which could only be described as garage sale art and others are very nice.
But, if any dopers here have a link for their works, I would love to see it. And if I really find something I really must have (it’s only been 5 years of some really bad work hanging now, so I am patient.) I would rather give the business to one of my own.
I like all mediums, but if you are into scary clowns, I’ll give it a pass all the same.
I am a huge Fan of Andy Goldsworthy. Natural Art. Check out some of his works here , my art is likened to his quite often. We find the same inspirations in nature. Click on the images to see what they really are. The photo’s have not been altered.
Or you could commission me to do a stained glass for you.
Also, anyone who would care to share a favorite art site, please do so.
I need to put something in that spot to a) cover up the hole we put in the wall to decimate the *%^&%^$ hornets who were breeching security. And b) the wall looks so naked.
Most of my stuff is not very large, sketchbook sized, except the sushi picture on my gallery page. It’s about 24" or 30" diagonal. Mostly just my random sketches, though.
I’m currently moving to a different home/studio right now, but I have plenty of stuff on my site (I see someone beat me to naming me), and once I get settled in the new place I’ll be accepting commissions again.
Actually, I do dabble in watercolor and I work in leads. Don’t have any of my stuff online, though. Maybe I should work on that. Maybe I need a swift kick to get me motivated to paint again.
I’m currently working on “12 Car Pile-Up” but it hasn’t progressed much in the last few years and is probably in the “way too huge for any home” category. Enough about me.
Darren DeGenova is the most talented artist I know of, undiscovered or otherwise, and I’ve purchased art from him before at more than reasonable prices.
it’s huge with hundreds of thousands of pieces of work. you can have a PRINT made of anything there you like.
For that matter did you know that you can take virtually ANY picture you have on the computer and have wall art made out of it? Pretty cool if you ask me and a hell of a lot faster/cheaper than trying to find what you want any other way.
