Hey guys! I’m actually free this weekend. I was planning to work on my latest car purchase, but I can put that off to finally meet some Dopers. Somebody want to e-mail me some details? Btw, are you referring to Oakland or SF when you say the Embarcadero?

I was thinking of the one in San Francisco. I think the Chevy’s is in Embarcadero Two or One?
It would be great to see you! Car would be best from San Mateo I think, as the CalTrain would only get you as far as South of Market, which is somewhat close, but only if you’re familiar with the area.
Of course from the East Bay, BART is ideal for getting to Embarcadero Center. But I haven’t checked the news today…is it on strike?
(I was assuming the SF Embarcadero as well…it’s in E2 if memory serves, upper level.)

Sue, are those tickets to the hockey game still available (I can’t find your email address or I would use it)? Lani has never seen a hockey game and would like to at least once.
It’s too bad that I already had something on Saturday night, otherwise I’d have jumped at the Sharks stuff. I don’t see many sporting events where I’m not supposed to be reporting on them as well.
This also serves as a little bump, in case any BADs had somehow managed to miss this.
I’m not the type to bump, but I really want Sue to see this (I really wish I could find her email address; that’s why I have everything filed so nicely; the problem is I filed it under her real name and I can’t remember it).

I’m afraid Demo and I will have to pass on this one. We absolutely positively must do the obligitory Halloween thing with da boyz this weekend; pumpkin patch, apple cider, finsih costumes, and, of course, It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

And i’d like to cast a vote for not Chevy’s, since it’s one of the few places in town that has nothing i can eat.

I will try my damndest to be at one or the other or both of these. My dreams of getting a car are unlikely to be fulfilled tomorrow. I don’t suppose there are any North Bay Dopers going that I don’t know about, since Demo and Psy have already sent in their regrets? The only other option (other than attempting to drive my car - haha) is to take GG Transit - not my favorite means of transport. SeaDiver has kindly offered to drive me to SJ if I can get to her neck of the universe, and the prospect of zipping down the highway in a silver convertible is almost too cool to pass up.
I don’t think anybody made reservations or anything. I figured we were just using it for reference – a meeting spot. But I’m with Zyz the last two mini-fests were at Chevy’s and Pizzeria Uno at the Embarcadero.
We should mix it up a bit.
