Back in January my bestest buddy in the whole world Died:(.
We miss him greatly. This cat slept with us every single night. He had a personality you Would not believe. 11 years with him was not enough. We have another cat, Bunny, a siamese/British shorthair mix, but he is absolutely nothing like Napoleon. The 2 were the greatest pals, but Bunny is not lovey to humans. He is very timid, doesn’t like to be picked up, etc.
We are not yet ready to replace Napoleon, but will eventually.
He was an extremely affectionate Russian Blue cat. Or so we thought. Yesterday we found some long lost papers which indicated that he was possibly a mix of Russian Blue and Chartreux. We’re in shock! We thought he was pure bred. He had greenish eyes.
However, the Chartreux mix would explain why he was so large (at one point he hit 26lbs. No kidding!).
Now the tricky part. If we get another cat, what should we go for? A pure Russian or a pure Chartreux?
I’ve done research on both and can’t decide. I’m not looking for cites on either cat (I’ve found a million web sites). I’m looking to hear from actually owners of Chartrux cats. What can you tell me?
