Anybody who’s been to Cowtippers, is it at all a baby-friendly place? Not that we can’t go out without the twins, but it’s easier (and cheaper) on us if we don’t have to line up a babysitter. They’re very well-behaved in public (well, except for that one unfortunate incident, but we won’t talk about that), and cute as the dickens–every time we go out with them, they spend the whole time flirting with the waitresses, so our table gets plenty of attention.
I’m pretty sure we’re free on both the 12th and 19th, so either day is fine.
Cowtippers is baby-friendly and the inside is non-smoking. As a matter of fact they have crayons and the children’s menu has a storybook and that type of stuff (though if they’re teeny-tiny babies they probably don’t care). At one point unattended infants were exposed on a nearby hillside but that was months ago.
The 19th actually works better for me, incidentally, as I’ll probably be performing Seriously Ill Cantankerous Kinship/Maternally Affiliated Medical Assistance (SICK MAMA) duty on the 12th.
My vote is for dinner. Seven sounds good. whole bean - you must drop by. We may be related, or at least in the same bean family.
I can ask about the closest MARTA. Do we want to call first? Looks like about 12 - 15 people (I am guessing some SOs in there). We can get a large table on the patio under the name Cecil Adams.
I only have a couple. I don’t really trade or buy or anything like that. I just keep the ones I’m handed. And since they’re kinda like awards, none are for trade. It’s interesting, though, my best coin is also a Tommy Franks coin from November/December 2001. When did you get yours? Is it shaped like a dogtag?
I’m up for the 19th if that’s the day we’re going!
I can definitely trade unit coins. I don’t count them I’ll be sure to bring one. And if I can find my old unit coin, I will bring that one too. It’s from CJSOTF-Afghanistan. But since I didn’t actually go, it’s yours if I can find it.
Funny, I got my Tommy Franks coin right before you ran into him. I helped equip his personal security and worked closely with them right up until they flew from MacDill. Ironic that I received my best military coin when I was still a civilian. No less ironic is that had I not joined the Army, I would have been to the Middle East at least twice by now. (And made much, much more money)
I’ve got to be the only person in history who joined the Army to avoid the war. . .
Oh hey, I’ll happily trade you for a unit coin! I’ve got two or three of mine, and like you, I don’t count them either. Although, I must admit I couldn’t take the CJSOTF-Af coin. I hadn’t “earned” that one, even though I was over there.
Game. On.

You want a 1 ERHG coin, or an 819th RED HORSE? (It’s a “deployed group” versus a “home squadron” thing).
