any lurkers in here?

I read the boards for ages before working up the courage to register and post.

I still read just about everyday but never feel I have much of any value to contribute so I just keep my mouth shut.

I’m with you EMS…

stupid double post…my apologies & you wonder why I don’t do this more often!

I lurk. I have known about, and browsed frequently this site for about three years. I then registered in April i think, and haven’t reached double digit posts yet. But i always managed to get flamed when i do post, so its rare…

By the way… for those of you who like stuff that is a bit oddball, but amusing and a great waste of time, there is a website i found that may be of interest… http://www.fazed.net

Another lurker checking in. I’ve been reading the boards here for about a year, but I rarely post anything. I just feel like I’ve nothing important to say. I feel so outclassed sometimes. Everyone else posts so much more interesting things than I.

I am also a frequent reader but infrequent poster. I guess I could accurately be described as a lurker. But I kinda like it that way.

I used to think… I could post something here. But then I’d just sound stupid. So I’d just keep going on, reading and not posting. Then I kept on doing that. Yeah. That’s it.

Fortunately, or rather, unfortunately, I can’t keep my mouth shut. Which is why I like message boards (because they are interactive). If I wanted one way communication, I’d read a book or a regular website.

Sometimes I’m a skimmer. Or a scanner.

i think ive only posted in lurker threads :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m a lurker…

Or at least, I was. I dont know if I am still a lurker now that I’ve posted.

::fades back into the murk::

wow, Warrior’s first and only post appears in a Lurker thread…

Quick! Go to the Pit, or GD! Post something, anything, before it’s too laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate…

I guess I count as a lurker - I read most days but don’t post often. I’d been reading the boards for about a year before I finally got round to registering.

Big time lurker here!

Hey velvet:stuck_out_tongue:

No, actually only 4 of them are. Yeah, I know. It surprised me, too. The rest of them are actually pretty on topic, but do tend to get ignored. I guess I’m usually the guy at parties standing in the corner drinking a beer. Usually I end up getting dragged out by the need to get another beer, but that doesn’t really apply here. Hmm…

Oh, and yeah, I have considered applying for the CIA. Remote sensing division. That’d be the guys sitting in a dark room staring at photos and maps. Sensing a trend here…

Can I get one of them-there shiny baubles? If p@cific@812’s definition of pseudolurkdom is generally acceptable (paraphrasing: read much, post few), then I would like to be considered for this honor. Also, I believe I would truly have been considered a LOTHO (Lurker Of The Highest Order), as I perused quite a lot and for quite some time before I registered.

Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

Lurker checking in. I actually do try to contribute more, but I often lose interest in my own post, before I post it. So I just click the back button and move on…

Also, the traffic here is so high I have trouble finding threads I’ve actually posted to, which defeats the purpose, I suppose.

I’m in a similar situation to a lot of you apparently.
Been coming here for months, but only posted to a few threads I thought I could actually contribute to.

Do many of you find yourselves very interested by many threads, but fear the level of debate and knowledge of the subject shown by other posters is beyond you?
That’s often the way I feel, interested, but unable to think of any valid points to contribute to the debate.
