Look for any thread addressing MADs - Mid Atlantic Dopers. There are likely to be several. And there is no MAD clique. Of course, there is an initiation for first-time attendees, but as long as you’ve had all your shots, you should be OK.
Yeah, I know my location says Florida, but I’ll be a MAD full time in about a year. I just visit now. So I know whereof I speak. Really!

Sqube, we have Dopefests once a month in the DC/Balto/NoVa area. We frequently get together ‘just because’. We’re fun and nice, dammit!
Keep checking the MPSIMS forum regularly. We’ve had many Doper get-togethers of all sorts, and we’ll be having more in the future.
So, who is throwing me a graduation party? Oh, and am I invited?

Although since my parents still think that all those people on the internet must be crazy perverts or something, I don’t know if they’ll let me drive out somewhere to chill with you guys for a day.
