I know that a million dollars isn’t a lot nowadays, but its a lot to me. Anyways, if so, how’d you make it, is it like cash, or assets, or stocks or what? Just curious… myself? I have about $500.
Yes, due to many intelligent investments I made in the Congo I am worth 32.5 million dollars all of which is located in a Nigerian bank account.
Unfortunately some corrupt officials in Nigeria are looking at my account and appear to be considering seizing it. To prevent this from happening please send me your bank account number along with whatever codes are required to access it as well as a copy of your birth certificate and a list of all people you have had “relations” with and their current addresses (be sure to mark which relations are “easy”). Upon receipt of this information I will wire all 32.5 million dollars into your account to prevent Nigerian officials from seizing it.
To thank you for your efforts I will allow you to keep twenty percent of the 32.5 million dollars. I am making this offer to you because I know that you are trust worthy.
Yep, the annual salary at my new job is 4.8 million, plus another 2 million from my side projects.
Oh, you meant dollars.
Never mind.
Ah! To many people that would be a or a
Not yet. But of course I’ll be on this Sunday. After the lottery game.
LOL!!! This is hillarious! Thanks for the laugh.
Nope. I am far from a millionaire.
As you can see Checkmate this is the kind of thing you just don’t ask. Who would be such a HAM and discuss their financial situations…?
You have about 500$ so…?
Whats your IMHO point?
See people build their savings their whole lives, they make good investments: Yes in the stock market, and with Roth accounts, CD’s, IRA’s, 401-k. And they build equity with their homes, and other various assets…so in some situations it is cash in the bank in others its money in the form of assets…
Do a little research young grasshopper, and if you want to take that 500$ and make it more, invest it…
I am a millionaire in love.
hearts and flowers
I am literally making 2,5 billion per month!!!
only… 2,5 billion Turkish liras are a bit over 1500 US$!!!
Ooh, not just a millionaire, but a BILLIONaire!
:: puts pinky to mouth ::
Yep, we’ll tell each other how many times we give/get head in a month, but won’t reveal our net worth…
Chekmate,
Previous threads have revealed that more than one Doper appears to have a net worth of more than a million. Of course, this is the internet, they could be lying.
But over time, given that some Dopers are older and have been saving money for a long time, as you said a million dollars in nothing.
I was a millionaire, on paper, once, back when the stock market was going wild. I wasn’t fully vested and that was before tax, and I didn’t sell any of the #!@ stock and now the stock is hovering at around $20 instead of at $170. I figure that’s as close as I’ll ever get to being a millionaire, so I hang on to the memory.
I am not a millionaire yet, but I just received a letter from Ed McMahon that said I could be the next winner.
WooHoo! I’m going shopping!
Not one, but three casinos…
I am sure Cecil has teeming millions.
I one day hope to be.
There’s some stuff for sale on my website, if anyone wants to help me out.
Asylum, my favorite part of that email is the end, where they caution me to please notify them even if I am not interested in helping them make this transfer, so that they may seek out someone else to solicit!
It makes me feel so…speshul!
I recall the exact moment I became a millionaire. It was the moment my father died. I wish he still had all the assets, and that I was still struggling to continue to pay the mortgage. Now I struggle to pay property taxes and keep the assets intact, without his wise advice.
