Any other MYSPACE addicts out there?

I use MySpace - I was an addict for about, oh, a month and a half and I wrote in my blog a LOT. Now I write in it occasionally but I’m just too busy, or prefer to spend my time on the Dope or on the Something Awful forums. I did meet my boyfriend on MySpace though, so I guess I can thank them for that. My site is here.

I only use it to keep track of a young singer songwriter that grew up in my neighborhood.

I’m mildly amused that I’m in everyone’s “extended network” even though I haven’t logged in and am not a member anyway.

I’m not an addict perse, but here I am. I use myspace to leave people messages, find out when my friends’ bands have shows, and showcase my new hair colors. It’s interesting, because some people I know respond faster to myspace messages than voicemails.

I signed up back in 2003 and thought it was lame, so I never really built a profile and went over 2 years without logging in or visiting. I still think it’s kind of annoying and - like someone else said - “the internet’s short bus”, but I found out that you could look up people from your high school on there so I built a half-serious profile and I’ve been looking at old friends’ profiles, etc.

Unfortunately, there are only something like 160 people that ever went to my HS that are on MySpace and almost all of them are from class of 2002-current (I was class of '99), so it hasn’t really been that great.

I see myself losing interest real soon and going another year or two without logging on.
