I enjoy drinking coffee from vintage heavy white mugs. Victor was the commercial brand that all the mom & pop cafes served coffee in. Brings back a lot of childhood memories using these mugs. I bought several on ebay 10 years ago.
I don’t like coffee in Styrofoam or plastic mugs. It tastes funny.
Cold beverages are fine in what ever container. Ice tea is really good in a glass mason jar. More childhood memories. 
Seconding the heavy white mugs. My school mug is this one, which I’ve had for better than 30 years now.
I do not like any sweet drinks. I drink black coffee from a small mug. I drink black tea from a large mug. I drink seltzer or water from a Nalgene bottle.
I don’t like glass with hot tea or cocoa. I feel like it will crack apart in my hands.
Soda-Can. I hate plastic bottles. Old school reusable glass bottles are optimal.
Beer-Bottle or frosty mug.
Water-Stainless water bottle, preferably chilled.
Milk-Glass
