I see some recommendations from a decade ago…looking for something newer.
I was recently part of a destination wedding. I’d like a website where we can all upload our photos and share them with each other. (think an app that can be used on their cell phone where most photos were taken.)
I don’t mind if there is some cost. But I want uploading and downloading and sharing photos to be simple.
I can do the work to find one but I figured I’d ask here first since the SDMB seems to know all and that would be more simple for me.
If you prefer a site that won’t track you & yours into eternity or don’t feel comfortable storing your personal images & info on sites such as above mentioned, there’s several FTP sites where you can upload files to. Cost is free for occasional use. Recipients can then download to their own computer by simply following a download URL. Files placed on these servers are automatically removed (deleted) after several days.
I often use WeTransfer. You can share 2Gb (i think) free of charge. There’s others. 2 Shared has a smaller free limit of 200MB. Still should still be plenty for most purposes.
I’ve always been happy with Amazon Photos. I use it to store only my personal photos, but you can share them in private groups, too. It has great filters and other features too. It’s free for Prime members and you can purchase additional storage if needed (you probably won’t need it).
I have used PhotoCircle for this for sharing of vacation photos with others in the group. You can post photos from your smartphone, and view there or on a desktop. You can share the circle with others so they can post there, too, and everyone can see and download photos. It’s pretty easy to use.
