Any SEC/ACC fans out there?

If so, thought you might be interested in a new site with a message board devoted to each team. The site is http://www.southernsportsfan.com/.

Right now, only the Georgia and Georgia Tech forums are particularly active, but only because many of the users there migrated from the Tech and UGA forums run by the Atlanta newspaper site. That forum had hired guns to stir up trouble (professional trolls), and that just pissed everyone off. So a couple of users went off and started their own site.

In any case, the site has no advertising, has a fast message board, and is interested in attracting sports enthusiasts.

Myself, you can find me spending some time in the Georgia Tech forum. The site owners have also agreed to host my Pick’em Pool, where participants predict the outcomes of 16 games each week (mostly ACC and SEC, but other national games as well). You’ll see a link to the pool at the top of each forum.

Just thought I’d share. If you have any questions, I’d be glad to try and answer them.

Wahoo! We love you Ralph!

Here in Richmond, ACC basketball is a religion.

Wow, we have an AZCowboy living near Atlanta rooting for Georgia Tech. Myself, I’m a Georgia Tech alum, formerly of Atlanta, living in AZ. Thanks for the link, AZCowboy!

Strainger, you’re quite welcome.

I am also a Tech alum. When I adopted the handle, I was living in Fountain Hills, having been relocated out there from Atlanta about four years ago. My company then relocated me back to the Atlanta area two years ago. But I’ve kept the handle.

And I must tell you, I love Atlanta, but I really loved Arizona. They could hardly be more different, but they are both very beautiful, in their own way. Given half the chance, I would move back to the Phoenix area in a heartbeat.

And it is right in the time of year that I most enjoyed out there - monsoon season. Haven’t got caught in any haboobs this year, have ya?

Hope to see you over in the Tech forum at southernsportsfan.com. I started visiting the Access Atlanta Tech Forum while I was in AZ because I couldn’t get enough news and coverage out there.

And plnnr, although the site is dominated by football right now, the talk will change over basketball, once the bowls are over and conference play starts. Hope to see you there too.

'perciatate it!

Georgia…Georgia Tech…hah!

Actually I could care less about any of them. I just wish I could go down to campus tomorrow and study, but since the TN-FL game is here, there’s no chance of that

Lsura, is it true that everyone in Knoxville is giddy because the state of Tennessee has just recently declared SKOAL a part of the vegetable group? <snigger>

No, dammit! Get your facts straight - we’re not just another bunch of rubes here. We’re giddy because we can legally eat road kill now.

By the way… GO DAWGS!!! SIC EM!!! WOOF!!! WOOF!!! WOOF!!!

Well thank you very much. Duke fan here, in North Carolina where college basketball is a way of life and Duke rules quietly but assuredly…wwwooooohhhhoooooo
