I knew she and I were soulmates.
She’s a lefty trying to use a right-handed can opener and THEY ARE THE DEVIL BECAUSE THEY NEVER WORK!
You can laugh all you want, but I relate! It’s an honest struggle.
Thank you for posting that.
You stay away from my wife!!!
Huh. No mentions of LU this week? Crane leaving a Ouiji board in Dario’s office as a child (and with LU mythology, God knows how long ago that was…)
I had a theory that Catrina and the Police woman were the same person, fractured into good and evil parts with the talisman fracturing. I’m unsure if this episode helped or hurt that idea.
So, Styles retained the WWE Title against Ziggler and Corbin, and will defend against Cena at the Royal Rumble.
Clearly Cena wins the belt at the Rumble, right? And then defends against another part-timer at WrestleMania?
Meltzer was saying awhile back that it’d be Cena vs. Undertaker for the title at 'Mania, but he had 'Taker winning the belt off Styles, not Cena.
So he would win the belt off Styles…on Smackdown? Or the Rumble?
Also, Cody (the most outspoken former superstar since punk) is not a happy camper
While I do understand trying to bring in established names to create as much of a buzz as possible for Wrestlemania, making it a ‘Part Timer’s Ball’ greatly diminishes the current performers and does the day to day product no good.
I honestly do not want to see Undertaker ever wrestle again unless it is very clearly a retirement match and his last appearance, and even then only if he is going to wrestle someone on the regular roster and put them over. Oh, not necessarily by losing to them, but by giving them a good showing and then showing them respect at the end.
And at this point, that person should not be Cena, who is also on the way out. He doesn’t need the rub.
I don’t get it.
TLDR version: There was a backstage segment where Bayley gives Goldust a Dusty Rhodes teddy bear and tells him how much Dusty meant to her. About 30 seconds later, Bullet Club wander in and tear the head off the bear, thereby setting up a match between them and Golden Truth (which BC wins).
You can see how the American Nightmare might have an issue with the way that was booked.
Enjoyed all but one of the NXT matches.
The tag match was great and Tozawa put in a great showing. We knew they weren’t getting the belts, but it was a damn fine, entertaining match.
Peyton and Pufferfish are too slow in the ring. Watching Pufferfish stutter step slowly into a clothesline while raising her arms to her chest was more painful than the actual move. Then there was a bit where Peyton paused and then slowly bent over to pick up her opponent, who had to awkwardly stand there looking at her while she did it.
I have a behavior pattern in mind for Luke Harper. You know how he does that “Heyyy ayyy ayyy” moan? He should sing the opponent’s theme song in the same voice, like the way Frankenstein’s monster tried to sing to the little girl who’s neck he broke.
So against Dolph Ziggler, he’d sing “I’m here to tell the worrrrrld I’m here to tell the worrrrrld” out of tune while Dolph lies prone. I don’t have a twitter account. I wonder if he checks email?
Separated at birth (by about a century)

Ur new champ pineapple
Speaking of Ziggler…
I used to like the guy, but man, for the last couple of months I honestly don’t give a fuck. I find him annoying and there’s nothing to emotionally invest me in his matches, despite all this ‘career on the line’ ‘put it all on the line’ crap. That stuff may be good for a 2 week build to a big match, or better if 6-12 months is spent building the storyline, but damn guys, you can’t build a long term personae on this.
And seriously, at this point in his career, I don’t think you’re going to draw money by making him champ, no matter who the rivalry is with. The Rock could return to wrestle him for the title at Wrestlemania and no one is going to be believing that Ziggler could win the match. I don’t think you’d find a lot of fans that would consider that a suitable high profile Wrestlemania match for Mr. Johnson either.
I agree 100% on Zigs.
He’s almost to the point of annoying now because his promos are all the same, his matches are all the same, and his feuds all end the same.
In fact, he’s the ANTI-Cena. I’m not groaning and wishing for his promos to end because he’s going to obviously eventually win. It’s that I know he’s obviously going to eventually lose.
Think about it, if Ziggler weren’t around, Ambrose would be the A-list victim and we’d see more of Kane.
I was returning from a road trip today, smoking some road medicine, when the radio played Red Rider’s Lunatic Fringe. I started imagining it as a promo for Miz vs Dean Ambrose. It would be a series of Miz & DA’s action clips, timed to the music, that portrays Miz taking the first person’s point of view as one being stalked by DA. All the clips of Miz make him look paranoid, and all the clips of DA make him look like a violent psycopath.
Lunatic Fringe
[Clips of Dean being Dean]
I know you’re out there
[Shots of Miz looking across the arena]
You’re in hiding
[Shots of Dean hiding under the ring]
And you hold your meetings
[Several Deans combined together in one scene]
I can hear you comin’
[Closeups of Dean’s feet stomping]
I know what you’re after
[Shots of Miz holding the IC belt]
We’re wise to you this time
[Clips of Maryce yelling at Dean]
(Wise to you this time)
[More clips of Maryce yelling at Dean]
We won’t let you kill the laughter
[Clips of Miz Skull-Crushing Dean]
*Uh huh
Uh huh
Uh huh
Lunatic fringe*
[Shots of Dean]
In the twilight’s last gleaming
[Shot of arena lights darkening]
This is open season
[Dean holding a chair]
But you won’t get too far
[Dean knocks Miz down with the chair]
Cause you gotta blame someone
[Miz bitches at ref]
For your own confusion
[Dean making funny faces]
We’re on guard this time
[Miz using Maryce as a shield]
(On guard this time)
[more of Miz exploiting Maryce]
Against your final solution
[Dean giving Miz Dirty Deeds]
Oh no
[Miz screaming in dismay]
I’ve always liked that song.
Hell, they’d probably sell them the rights for cheap just because it would pop their sales.
Then of course I look up the band, see their last album in 1989, and this at the bottom;
“Professional wrestler Kurt Angle uses an instrumental version of Lunatic Fringe as his entrance music in TNA. UFC fighter and former Pride Champion Dan “Hendo” Henderson also uses Lunatic Fringe as his intro song.”
Have not watched TNA in a long time and did not know that.
I think Kurt just used a loop of the intro.
