Any WWE fans in the audience? (Part 1)

I figured it was Arquette. His wrestling was in WCW and marked the low water line for them.

DEFY went ahead today and announced a second show in April, this time in Tacoma. They also announced the special appearances for this show; Moose, Rey Horus (El Dragon Azteca Jr. in Lucha Underground) and, of all people, X-Pac.

It’ll be interesting to see who they put him up against and what kind of heat he gets.

Cena bores me so much, I turned SD off with 10 minutes to go.

Then you missed the best part, the end

Is WWE trying to get people to not watch Fastlane? What a freakin’ cluster the main event will be. Next week Rusev and English will be added.

Considering that the NCAA men’s basketball tournament bracket will be announced earlier that day, and everybody will be busy working out their own tournament contest brackets, does WWE really expect that much of a viewing audience?

Which has worse odds - a perfect NCAA bracket or Sami Zayn winning the title at Fastlane?

You know when I was a kid in the late 80s-90s we wished we could get a ppv once a month and eventually we got it when the in your house thing started

the inside joke was wed be dumb enough to pay for house shows that were the equivalent of sat night main event : big matches that looked great on paper that was nothing but cotton candy hype for the next big ppv

Well we got what we wished for… can we take it back ?

I did end up getting tickets for Fastlane, so I’m looking forward to it. So far I don’t believe Shinsuke Nakamura has a match scheduled. Honestly half the reason I got the tickets is because he’s my kid’s favorite wrestler, and he’s on Smackdown, so I hope he at least shows up.

Barkis, what were ticket prices like? Supposedly they had to bring down ticket costs for Elimination Chamber to get more asses in seats.

It’s the final PPV before 'Mania and he has a huge match with AJ there, I would be he at least does something to tease that.

With ticketmaster fees and all, I paid $240 for 2 seats in the lower level (not on the floor). It’s weird, there are practically no tickets through private sellers on craigslist or facebook or anything. And now that you’ve inspired me to look again, I see prices have come down pretty considerably, including on groupon. So I suspect ticket sales are not great. Maybe I should have waited and got them cheap through a broker, oh well.

They have Fastlane tix on Groupon?

They were on groupon earlier, not seeing them now. My wife texted me an advert she got for “Buy One Get One” Fastlane tickets.

If that is true that is insaaaaane

On stubhub, floor 2, row A, front and center facing the hard camera across the ring; 1-4 for $749, 2 for $798, 2 for $1,995. Section coming in off the ramp on that side, best seats $575.

Section facing ring opposite ramp, best seats $525. Row D, where I sat during the Smackdown in Minneapolis about a year and a half ago, was $90-ish. For this show it’s $350.

I dunno, I’m not the hard-core traveling fan whose willing to drop a grand on a seat plus airfare and hotels and stuff, so its hard for me to imagine paying those prices for a overbooked clusterfuck ‘PPV’ show like this one.

Of course, I just checked Wrestlmania 33 tickets and they’re $20-25,000 for front row and over $4k for row 7. Ok, I can’t stop laughing at that. That’s insane.

Well, if anyone *is *interested, you can use this LINKfor the BOGO deal. Floor seats for 165.50 ea.

wow tix have went up… the two wms I went to the first was 50 for nosebleed seats but that was the one where it was going to be ta the la coliseum then it changed to the sports arena … and the second was 100 for 3rd row floor seats at the Anaheim pond … the ring side seats were folding chairs that you got to keep and were 150 …

The latest from the rumor mill is that WWE hasn’t booked a WrestleMania match for Braun Strowman yet because they want to keep him free in case more evidence comes forward implicating Roman in the steroid ring he’s allegedly been linked to. There’s apparently a documentary filmmaker who’s been researching the story and is set to release some damning evidence, and they want Brock/Braun as a backup in case they have to suspend or fire Roman.

Take it with a grain of salt.

Wellp it’s finally done. I’ve finally seen every wrestler I’ve ever wanted to see live and in person. Thanks to tonight NXT house show I got the treat that was Raul Mendoza versus the-one-that-so-far-had-gotten-away Ricochet! They did a great job balancing the spot-fest spots and regular ole’ wrestling. Ricochet* obvi won and it was awesome.

Nothing else really of note tonight. Had A LOT of the Chinese wrestlers, which is more common nowadays. I wonder how realistic it is for them to have a major role on TV in the coming future because there are a lot of them.

  • Although I must say there is no writing at these events. He was billed as Ricochet, but the jury is out on if his name is actually Rick O’Shea
