oh, believe me, we’re waiting for next week’s podcasts …him and brian last was supposed to be watching it all this weekend
Overall, I’d say Night Two was an improvement over Night One, though the whole McAfee-Theory-Vince-Austin segment was just stupid. Theory looks like an absolute wimp who couldn’t beat a guy that lost to a 76-year-old grandpa, and they didn’t really need to do another “Stone Cold stunners everyone and chugs a shitload of lite beer” spots after how good he looked yesterday. New Day and Sheamus/Ridge finally got their match, and it wound up running less than two minutes. Other than that, though, it was a solid show.
Interestingly enough, they ended the show with 15 minutes to spare instead of going the full four hours this time. I wonder if Roman Reigns legitimately got injured by Brock’s kimura lock - you could hear him saying “My shoulder’s out” to Heyman, and then they sped to the finish like 90 seconds later. It’s going to suck if they spent the last 7 1/2 years building him up to the point where he FINALLY beats Brock at 'Mania and the crowd is OK with it, just for him to have to vacate the belt due to injury on Raw tomorrow.
Agreed. I was laughing my ass off when Zayn ran into the giant hand prop from Jackass 7 or whichever movie that stunt was from. Terrible match that was among the most entertaining of the night.
I assumed that was Mark Henry’s and Mae Young’s son making his in-ring debut.
The late Pat Patterson said a lot of funny things over the years, some intentionally even, but IMO the funniest line he ever delivered on national TV was “Come on let’s give Mae a hand!” after their, uh, love child was born.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the world of wrestling, NJPW’s Great O-Khan rescued a 10-year-old girl from an attempted kidnapping in a subway station!
He was apparently on his way home from dinner and was munching on a McDonald’s pie when he saw the girl being grabbed by a drunk man and calling for help, so he slammed the guy against the wall with his free hand, offered the girl the rest of his pies, and comforted her until her mother and the cops showed up. What a class act.
(Mark Henry) All I do is produce generational talent

All you have to do is paste the link by itself on a line and Discord does the work.

AEW Dark Taz/Excalibur moment of the day
Short episode today, and slim pickings. Taz said he was a little out of sorts from drinking 67 cups of coffee. They must have been decaf.
Abadon vs. Hyena Hera
Ex: One of the most intimidating presences in the AEW locker room is Abadon. Just, just sitting in the corner, all alone, head down, and then popping up and screaming at people, Taz. It was terrifying!
Taz: and that was in catering!
And that was when Excalibur referenced Taz being in catering for his 66th cup of coffee, leading to Taz later talking about being out of sorts.
Still, I thought you’d go for Taz and Excalibur discussing whom they would prefer as a manager: QT Marshall or Negative One. They decided on QT because they thought Negative One is rougher on the Dark Order than QT is on The Factory.
I did one before where they talked about how terrifying -1 was and didn’t want to repeat myself.
WWE has fired MSK’s Nash Carter after his estranged wife came forward with allegations of abuse and posted a photo of him wearing a Hitler mustache and giving a Nazi salute. MSK just won the NXT tag titles this past weekend, so presumably those are vacant now.
It’s extremely rare for someone to get fired or even suspended while holding a belt - the last time it happened was Evan Bourne in 2011 when we and Kofi were tag champions, and they at least had them drop the belts at a house show before announcing Bourne’ Wellness strike. WWE must be extremely confident that the allegations are going to hold up.
well, this won’t be good news …
that’s not all she’s in trouble for …this lists another incident where she could get 75 years for …
lol 11 years they edited the 2nd story …
I remember watching an interview with Sytch and she took questions from the audience. Somebody asked her who she slept with. She seemed a little embarrassed, not because of the question, but because she couldn’t remember names. “Well, there was John, Jim, and before that, who was it?” A man in the audience answered “Jack.” “Oh yeah, Jack. Who was before that?” I don’t know if the man in the audience was her current bf, a relative, or what.
@Smapti I think WWE is just getting him out of the company while this sorts itself out. The Hitler-stache/Nazi-salute pic was extremely cringey. As for the abuse allegations - Wes Lee’s wife (also a wrestler) has stated that this is retaliation for Carter serving divorce papers and is probably not true. Kimber Lee, Nash’s soon-to-be-ex-wife, tried to play it off on Twitter as if they barely know one another, despite attending each other’s weddings and being in the wedding party and having other, semi-frequent conversations and interactions.
I, of course, have no idea of the truth, but corporate WWE smartly doesn’t want anything to do with it.
In much better news, what about that Young Bucks / FTR match! I can’t wait for the Jim Cornette epilog, where he tries to hate the match simply because the Young Bucks were in it.
I saw the latest ep of AEW Unrestricted where they interviewed Brody King. One of the questions from the audience was “Which celebrity do you most want to hit with the Gonzo Bomb?” He answered “Jim Cornette. Next question.”
