Anybody a SDSAB?

“Science” is kind of a catch-all, and also applies to those members whose expertise may be in the humanities or other fields.

I am an ornithologist, but also cover biology questions in general. I occasionally answer questions in other fields, though.

Doug Yanega is an entomologist, but also answers general biology questions.

JillGat is an epidemiologist, but has answered about any kind of question you can imagine.

Chronos and Karen Lingel are physicists.

Songbird writes, appropriately enough, on songs and music.

Many of the others have written on such a variety of topics that I am not certain what their “professional” expertise actually is.

Yeah you would have thought Ed would have held a contest or something

It’s been a few days since I’ve posted and I want to make sure that I maximize the value of my charter membership, so was just looking for a reason to post.

There may be 17 or 19 or some other number of people on the SDSAB list, I didn’t count…but I do know that the referenced page indicates that the exclusive group of which I am a part boasts a mere 2,630 names.

To expand on Colibri’s answer, he himself is the Curator of Critters, especially feathered critters. Karen primarily does Little Physics, while I generally do Big Physics (no value judgement implied there). Una Persson is the Goddess of Fossil Fuels and Electricity Generation, and is also well-qualified in mechanical engineering in general and computers. samclem is a coin dealer by trade, but is also good with etymolygies (note the lack of ‘n’; don’t confuse him with Doug). Eutychus’s specialization is animation and Disney, and Son of Dex is our resident expert on Frankenstein (at least, that’s what he’s written about).
