Anybody else do this with pretzles?

I’m sitting here eating pretzels and Dr Pepper, With one of my wierd eating quirks. I’m curious if anybody else has ever done this.

First I carefully split the pretzle, with my canine teeth, lengthwise, exposing the porous inner core. Then I pour some pop(usually Coke, but this time Dr P) in my mouth. The pop desolves the inner core into a mush. The salty crunchy outer hull surrounding the sweet wheaty mush of the center is just soooooo goooood.

No.

Blech!

Yes, but I use Root Beer instead.

Yeah I do it with Rootbeer and Coke.

Also doing it with popcorn is tasty too.

You are such a madman!

No, but I do bite the bottom off the pretzel so I can wear it like a little wee, pince-nez.

I’m not much on pretzels, as it is. But I have plenty of other weird eating habits to make up for it!

Sometimes I will pop a pretzel in my mouth and pour in some soda before I swallow. Not often but it can be nice.

Ew.

In a bar I’ve been known to dip a pretzel into my drink, be it beer, scotch, vodka, whatever.

I don’t think stuff you eat when you’re drinking in a bar counts. :stuck_out_tongue:

I love pretzels with Coke and also with tonic water. Ah, the joys of contrasts…

Umm, no.

Yes. I cannot, in fact, eat pretzels without a beverage in my hand, or I get terrible hiccups. So it sort of developed naturally for me. My favorite is pretzel rods and Diet Dr. Pepper. Yums.

I eat pretzels the same way I eat stuff like the chocolate-covered malted Whoppers: Put the food in my mouth, take a swig of beverage, and suck the beverage through the item. Softens it up good…

But. . .but. . .some of my happiest eating memories are from my time sitting at the bar!!!

There, there, dear. I didn’t mean you couldn’t fondly remember food eaten at bars whilst drinking, only that you can’t really say “Yes, I eat that way”, because one tends to do things under the influence that they wouldn’t ordinarily do.

She told me she wouldn’t tell anyone!! :o

I like to take those big, crunchy pretzels and put a slab of cheddar cheese on top of them. Yum.

Never tried the sodypop thing, though.
