Yeah, I won’t weat a jocks cup for sports. But then Im not into sports.
I like styrofoam cups cause my guests drop my glass ones & strofoam is cheap & don’t have to
wash them.

I guess the only kind that really bother me are the ones with gold leaf on them. Not that we’re awash in them but we did get some for wedding presents and they just seem so darn impractical and pretentious, especially with a pinkie-rection.
It creeps me out to drink soda from ceramics (like a coffee cup). Not that it’s a normal thing, but sometimes you’re all out of glasses. Just doesn’t work for me. Try it and see!
All cupa are euual, but some cups are more equal than others.
I also prefer glass or ceramic. I don’t like drinking out of plastic cups, although I do have some for my kids. I cannot drink milk out of a plastic cup.
As peedin said, I also don’t like clear coffee cups. I like my coffee in a regular mug. Having coffee in a clear mug is just strange. I know there’s a certain dessert coffee (Irish coffee?) that is supposed to be served in that clear mug, but it still seems odd.
Eww, I can remember eating dinner at a friend’s house when I was little and they had aluminum cups (or pewter maybe? they weren’t colored) and I thought it made the milk taste WEIRD! They made the milk taste metallic. Yuck.
I hate thick insulated cups and thick heavy glass cups. The first because it makes all drinks taste flat and the second because, well I don’t really know, but nothing tastes right out of them.
I much prefer those thin plastic cups like you get at McDonald’s, the disposable kind you buy in the store or styrofoam.
I cannot stand styrofoam cups. And those little paper cone cups you use to see at water fountains? ::shiver:: In fact, all paper cups.
Mugs above all else. Mugs for OJ, mugs for tea, mugs for just about everything.
Except beer. Beer must go in one of my steins or the appropriate beer glass (of which I have many).
And Martinis. Martinis must go in a cocktail glass.
Oh, and wine goes in a small goblet.
The only reason I actually own glass glasses is for guests-- but they’re likely to get mugs.
I refuse to have pint glasses in my house any more , But for practical rather than aesthetic reasons. I never remember to wash them out, and my dishwasher sucks, So they always have a little ring of dried crud around the bottom. Then I have to try to scrape it out but my damn hand doesn’t fit and at least three times the glass has shattered cutting my fairly bad. So most of my drinking at home is out of coffee cups, where my fingers can reach, or rotund plastic cups. I also have some cool goblets that I use alot.
