I just began playing the Baldur’s Gate series recently—I finally got a PC to play it on. I’m in the middle of Shadows of Amn right now. The game is fun, and the voices are entertaining, and I was enchanted by the idea of recording my own voice sets for the game and I have begun making notes on the kinds of voices I would like to try.
Has anybody on the SDMB done this before? I’m not looking for technical advice, since my first set is already up and running (he’s a kinda mean, growly, paranoid assassin-type guy). I’m merely curious if other Dopers have voice sets of their own.
I’ve already tried looking at a few other voice sets at various websites, and most of them are sound bites ripped from movies and TV (Lord of the Rings voices, Blackadder) or borrowed from other video games. I figure anything the Internet does badly, Dopers can do better.
So, anybody ever done this before? Anybody interested in trading some voice sets or recording special ones? Anybody have any fun ones that they’d like to recommend?
